Griz will be fine. Having your best LB and cover guy out the first half hurt a lot. Then our all conf shut down corner Loud didn’t make the trip. We had two true freshman DBs playing at the same time the whole game. Get Loud back to take away half the field and all is good again. That scared me a bit though!
I agree with you hooked. You’ll be favored in every game the rest of the way. But you’ve been reading these boards all season so just like we heard how bad we were losing to SDSU at home, and bad running game etc………

You’re gonna hear a little something about Gilliam having negative yards and needing a come from behind, wide receiver reverse pass to starting QB to beat Idaho state….

You guys would have a HAY day if it wax the Cats in pokey this weekend
All valid points. Although Gillman came back very strong and had a big 2nd half. Someone said he may have had the flu. Not sure but he seemed a bit off until he didn’t.
I’d buy that in a second. Looked off but has always reminded me of Ifanse. Won’t say a word about him.

To be clear I think despite tonight’s showing you guys will be fine and like I said favored in every game. We’re just getting to the meat of the season and I’ll maintain it’ll come down to cats and griz in Missoula for the championship. Griz will be favored and Cats will try to end the streak of road teams getting embarrassed.

Winner will be top 4 seed, loser will get a home game and hit the road and let cards fall where they may.
I could see a scenario where Cats win out and Griz win out until the brawl, Cats end up with the #2 and Griz #3 or #4. NDSU #1, SDSU #3 or #4.

How many excuses is this now you’ve posted about the Gris barely escaping Idaho State?

No kidding. If their defense can’t handle being down a couple starters, they’re not all that. And they haven’t been all that with them.

I’m not surprised that the ass hat who publicly posted on this forum that Gillman is not very good at football and is overrated would place an emphasis on yardage and not scoring when it comes to defensive stats. Last I checked, it’s scoring that wins or loses a football games. Griz are giving up 25 per game….not great….but 5th in the conference.

Who would have won yesterday if it would have been Cat Griz, and on a neutral field?

On another note, did you just hear the announcer say that he’s never seen an FCS game where one individual player has done more than Michael Wortham has done today?
The announcer is a huge Griz fan. Pink shaded glasses make things seem rosier than they really are.

And Cats announcer is a Cat fan. Any announcer doing games for a team will be a fan because they build a relationship with players and coaches

Griz nation “our best corner and LB were out for this game so that’s why our defense was bad”

Bobcats lost their starting Safety and LB in the Oregon game. Defense is still elite. Next man up.

A whole lot of talking going on here today when we all know that the only thing that's going to really matter is what happens at noon on November 22nd. I'll be surprised if MSU and UM aren't both 7-0 going into that game.

With their fragility on defense, I could see the gris having an unexpected slip-up between now and then against a middling team on the road.

I think they've already played their best road opponent and won. So has MSU until Cat/Griz. And I don't see either team losing at home unless MSU wins in Missoula. We will see!

Not unlike the Cats’ fragility on offense. Any team that couldn’t find a way to hang 18 points on Mercyhurst, at home, is as much at risk of having a slip-up.

We’ve had a fragility on offense once. You’re fragile on defense every game. You’ve played a weak schedule and you’re 5th in scoring defense, 7th in total defense, tied for eighth in run defense, ninth in pass defense.

Meanwhile, our offense is fourth in scoring, fourth in total offense, second in rushing offense, third in passing. We lead every defensive category. All that despite playing the #2 teams in FBS and FCS.

You didn’t play any FCS team. I’m sure if we removed CWU and Oregon we’d lead you in every offensive and defensive category except maybe one.

The griz have nothing to be proud of with that win. I mean it's a win but yuck.
That's all they needed. They can keep winning ugly and worst case scenario for them is probably the 5 seed. Someone needs to knock them off but unless Cal Poly can shock the world next week I don't see anyone stepping up and getting the job done. If they can play better and start blowing out the losers on their schedule for the next 6 weeks they could get the 2 seed if they win Cat griz.
I mean, you might be right. They could be a great as you think.

The point some are making as they literally needed a reverse wide receiver pass to the quarterback to come from behind and beat Idaho state. Say that out loud.

People tend to overthink this part of the season.

Some of this conversation seems a little ridiculous. Who would have won on a hypothetical week is a little crazy to me. That’ll all be decided later on in the year. If we really are more deserving of better seed, we’ll prove it in November.

Facts, numbers and hard data are too much for this grisidiot to comprehend. I expect nothing less from a fan of the school of dance and flair. All fluff and touchy-feely, no substance.

Yep, wouldn't surprise me at all for them to pull an upset. Night game on the road at Sac. CP is no slouch this season, either. They have a QB who can sling it, which is obviously an Achilles heel for gris D...
