I think if asked, most people would think that MSU, with its run-heavy offense, ran more plays than anyone in the BSC last year.

Plays per game:
UM - 69
Davis - 69
SAC - 67
Idaho - 66
PSU - 65
MSU - 60

Despite that, most people would probably still think MSU ran the ball more than anyone.

Rush attempts per game:
UM - 42
PSU - 42
MSU - 40
SAC - 37
Idaho - 36
Davis - 35

I would've guessed MSU ran it about five more plays than the second most. It's a testament to how many big gains MSU gets from its run game. Consequently, MSU didn't rank very high in time of possession.
Idaho - 33:47
PSU - 31:50
Davis - 31:26
UM - 31:23
NAU - 29:50
MSU - 29:46


MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
