Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I think another thing NDSU has is a track record of multiple guys getting drafted every year. That probably allows them to keep guys despite having bigger NIL deals elsewhere, the promise of making millions after graduation.

If we can get two guys drafted this year, I think we're well on our way to having that argument as well.
And NDSU has another likely first round pick this year in Grey Zabel. I'm sure their draft history helps them keep their offensive linemen given how many of them are NFL starters right now.
This is an area where MSU is behind NDSU. The fans and media are totally behind the OL players. They’re deified at ndsu. As much as they say they’re lunch bucket, blue collar guys, they want recognition. It’s gotten better but still a ways to go in that area.

I don’t think any unit has been by the portal at MSU as hard as the OL.
Uhh, ok... Who doesn't love the Donjoy Mafia? O see the T-shirts and hoodies everywhere on game day...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I'm going to miss Corso, even though it was long overdue. Wish I would've had the opportunity to hear him speak at the Triangle Classic years ago.
Nice feature about him on the ESPN site :

Lots of possible games to choose from on August 30th, but I wouldn't be surprised if Eugene was a possibility. Corso has a fondness for the Oregon Ducks. My money is on that, or the Texas/Ohio State game. Maybe Oregon and Montana State fans could make a push for his final GameDay to be in Eugene.

Oregon was on one side of the graphic and Ohio State the other when they showed on ESPN the Aug 30 date. Must be down to those 2. Texas is at Ohio State. But there are some other good mathups.

I think Corso's last show will likely be at Ohio State/Texas as it's the best game on the schedule and also the location where he made his first "headgear" pick in 1996. If it's not that, then probably either Alabama/Florida State (Corso's alma mater) or ODU/Indiana (his most notable coaching job). Going all the way out to Oregon for a game that most will consider an afterthought on the schedule that week seems highly unlikely.

So, we agree. It’s lacking.

90%+ goes to the Athlete, 3% to teammates, and 7% to the company. I thought that was reasonable.

According to this article, Fanstake takes anywhere from 3-17%.

I understand that the upcoming scrimmage is free, I was curious if you have to reserve or still get some sort of ticket to attend?

Scrimmages have always been an open gate situation. Just walk on in.

Found this in an old box of photos today. These are stickers the coaches sent out to recruits back in the day. This one is from 1983 and has a message from Kramer. I believe 1982 was the first year of the Cats logo. I believe the Cats script we see today was first used in 1984, but it could have been 1983.

The first ‘Cats’ script appeared on the new yellow helmets in 1982 when Coach Doug Graber took over. It’s the same script used today. The post card is a representation of that script but not an accurate depiction of the logo. In 1984 blue and white lines were added to the crown of the helmet which seemed to work out well.

The C in Cats has a weird curlicue in this 1982 photo.

But, by the end of the season, it looks like they finally figured it out.

This guy didn't wear a helmet or clothes at all that year.

That’s what the concept looked like, for the media guide anyway, but was not the actual decal that ended up being issued for 1982 season.
