When does the ticket exchange thread go up for tickets to the Semi final game? I have put out some feelers already. I bought my flight already so I gotta get into bobcat stadium one way or another.

I have to say this sounds less than awesome for us Cat fans that aren't season ticket holders and want to try to make it to the game. We either get to Duke it out on the computer at 10 AM Monday or get gouged by season ticket holder folks buying up tickets.

And before anyone says, why aren't you a season ticket holder? Not everyone lives near the stadium and can go all the time. But this is a once in a lifetime game. I'll move heaven and earth to go to it, but I'm anticipating a ****** show.

I think you might be selling your Bobcat family short here. There are several of us who requested additional tickets just to make sure they didn't fall into the wrong hands. Keep your eyes on the BN ticket exchange and I imagine you'll find some available at face value or near that. We want the stadium full of loud Cat fans - that would be worth way more to me than making a few dollars off of some extra tickets.
@cat-o-nine Do you know of any season ticket holders that will do this now that the Bobcat Presale and General ticket sales have been cancelled? I just need two tickets. I hope I can get them and get out with both arms and both legs.

Just to clear some things up. We ALWAYS allow season ticket holders to request 4 extra tickets for every game. All they did differently was increase that from 4 to 8. You know why it has NEVER been an issue before? Because even allowing those ticket holders an extra 4, there are still tickets available.

Now we have a BIG game. Demand at an all time high. MSU increased this REQUEST for extra tickets from 4 to 8. Why? To ensure that every single ticket possible would be in the hands of Cat fans. That's good! Start reaching out to your fellow Cat fans. If they haven't given them to friends and family, let's hope they sell at face value and pack the place!

I'm sorry. This just feels a lot like an NFL season ticket holder being upset they can't get into the Super Bowl without paying a fortune despite being a great fan. They have to draw the line someplace and at some point money will talk. I don't like that but it's reality.

Stupid. Why not keep it at 4…. Cat fans would have purchased every single ticket during the pre sale. Every Cat fan on here saying this ****** has a ticket in hand. Would you be ok with this if it meant you missed the game? Doubt it

What sucks is that I ordered an extra ticket back in November for all 3 rounds of playoffs, so that my best friend(who's a Bobcat Grad) could go with my family to all of the playoff games and has been there the last two weeks, but they stripped that ticket from me for this round to give to somebody up the priority list from me. I wish I could give more to the school I have a degree from and have been a fan of since I was 10 years old, but I am also just a teacher who does not make a ton. So here we are!

The reason there are other playoff tickets available is because season ticket holders rarely take extra. Which is why it was more than enough to offer them the same 4 extra for the one game most/all of them would take. Upping it to 8 for no apparent reason was a HUGE mistake. One that will lock out tons of the most active regulars in the stadium who know how gameday works.

My point is have you ever complained about those 4 extras? Probably not. But just because, let's say they DID keep it at 4 extras instead of 8 extras. Maybe you would have got those tickets. But still every Cat fan wouldn't have had tickets! That's what I'm saying. We would have the same complaining, but just different people complaining.

Maybe this will be a net positive and increase season ticket holders. Get enough of those and get a stadium expansion!

But to answer your question; IF my 30 years of ticket holding wasn't enough, and IF I went from 4 to 8 to 10 to 18 tickets every year wasn't enough, and IF my other donations weren't enough and others got an opportunity for EXTRA tickets before me.......no I wouldn't be pissed. I'd have a watch party with friends and family and if it was SO important to me I'd look to get on the lost for season tickets next year!

By this logic, since there will be complaining anyway they shouldve just given all the tickets to ticket holder priority #1.

And again, many of the people who will be locked out of this game have also been locked out of season tickets the last few seasons as others accumulate 10 or 20 I'm hearing. Other organizations limit season ticket holders to 4.

Good perspective for sure. I apologize if I came off rude, just bummed out for the fans that can’t make it.

The bottom line is this: Bobcat Stadium only holds 22,000 people packed to the gills, and there's probably 50,000 people who want to attend this game. So thousands of people are going to get shut out no matter what.

MSU has to decide on a process for distributing the extra tickets, and no matter what they do, thousands of people are going to get shut out and be upset. They decided to first offer them to the loyal season ticket holders, the folks driving to Bozeman and paying for ALL the games, the Mercyhurst games, the Unc games. That doesn't seem like the worst way to go, imo.

Same here. I needed one extra ticket and thought it went through yesterday morning after I put in for it online. I didn't realize it was a priority issue, I got the confirmation and everything that I got the ticket. I would have stayed on the phone if I knew that was the case. There has to be a better way than the way they did it.

I’m excited because selfishly I got my one single ticket. We have 28 season tickets in our group but looks like we’re not gonna get very many extras. And we did a priority list as people requested them. I am three short for good cat fans. The exciting thing is those that want to get into the stadium should be pretty jacked in the atmosphere is gonna be crazy. Gonna be a fun day.

Curious if any one has thought to raise big screens in or near both open corners of north endzone. people without tickets could stand outside the fence to watch and yell their butts off, bring noise makers etc... seems like if we could get a few thousand more to yell that could be epic?!!!

If they had left the extra request at 4, the demand was so high that more season ticket holders would've been able to grab a couple of extra tickets and they still would've all been in the hands of Bobcat fans. As for ensuring they stay in the hands of Bobcat fans, there's no guarantee of that. I have a coworker who got 8 extras with every intent to resell on a third-party seller rather than sell directly to Cat fans . And they have every right to do that. But it's ******...

Season ticket holders should have gotten theirs, then no problem with additional 4 as done in past, then game ticket puchasers should have had a chance to buy what # they had in season (so if went to game and had 2 they can buy 2), if any were you could have then gone back on priority list to get additional 4 (for the 8 max) at that point open to public.
The argument to just get on list to get season tickets is flawed. It is nearly impossible because they allow existing holders to buy more before they go to the list.

I can't disagree with what you said, but would like to add I wish they'd revise their point system slightly to award an incentive based on consecutive years. I would love to donate as much extra money as I can to the Bobcat program, but unfortunately I'm limited for now. I have been a season ticket holder for 22-23 years, and I know a few fans who have been for under 10, but they are able to donate annually and are substantially higher than me on the priority list. I just feel like that's worth 2 extra tickets vs. my coworker who received 8 and is selling them on a third-party site to fund his Christmas and/or trip to Nashville
