I think most football fans in Montana are aware of this, without Hauck having to mention it every day. I know that you Griz fans may not understand, but it is exactly these sorts of "subtle" put downs, that make Cat fans hate him so much.
I think that's the point.. Bobby wants the Cats to hate him, just as much as he hates the Cats. Maybe if Ash showed the same kind of fire things would be different. He (Bobby) made a joke at a Friday gathering about Bozeman papers referring to him as the Great Satan, leader of the Evil Empire, and he loved it.. he thought it was great. He doesn't care that Cat fans hate him, and he doesn't care if people know he hates the Cats.. that's how rivalries are.

And yes, to the poster who mentioned that Crawford almost beat the Griz again.. just like last year when he single handedly didn't win the game for them. Get a clue, dude. Not quite how it shook out.
I think you can be passionate and emotional, and still be gracious. At the risk of bringing up the "K" word again, MK was a very emotional and passionate coach, who got his teams to play their best in the biggest games, but he was always very gracious towards UM.
MK had a different flair.. Griz and Griz fans really hated MK, and I'm sure it was both ways. He was gracious towards UM, but he really wanted to pound the Griz just like Bobby wants to vs. the Cats. Ash is too likable of a guy for Griz fans to hate.. so far.
That was probably especially true, after having won 3 out 4 against UM, right? And maybe that hatred that you say he had for the Griz, was why his teams always played very well against them, even the years they lost.

Most would say after graduating so many seniors last year and having so many freshman playing this year and going 11-1 is the sign of a very good coach.

Please list one thing that Coach Hauck did that wasnt gracious to your coach and/or team.

It's pretty hard to have feeling one way or another for a wet noodle.

He sure seemed to like to mention the "one sided" nature of the rivalry a little more often than he probably had to. I think pretty much everyone in Montana knows that the rivalry hasn't been very even for many years, without Bobby having to bring it to our attention. Again, I know that Griz fans will accuse me of being overly sensitive, but until/unless you have been on the other side of this deal for awhile, I don't think it is your place to judge what qualifies as being overly sensitive.

Let me be certain I have this straight:

CR somehow manages to attempt to smack his rival, who has just beaten his team 35-3, by admitting that the game was over in the 2nd quarter?? That is so hilarious it really needs no further comment.

I'll simply say this: I was jumping up and down in section 221, row 13 when the game ended. I figure if I can do it, it's certainly okay for Bobby to do it. Afterall, my livelyhood doesn't depend on the final score. If it did, I'd probably still be jumping up and down. So if that activity meets your definition of classless, I am sure Bobby will be happy to apologize to you personally in Bozeman next year to help you get rid of those hurt little feelings of yours. (e.g. Grow up; it's a man's game. It's okay to show some energy and enthusiasm).

We're all here 'cause we ain't all there.

who cares . . . really?

bh has already said that MSU is one of his top priorities. he won and gets the right to act anyway he desires. his reactions just reinforce that MSU is a huge game to him. personally, outside of coaching (giving him credit for this), i don't think bh is a very intelligent fellow and think it shows (just my opinion).

i think complaining about how your rival's coach reacts is simply whining. don't whine and let the trolls feed continue to feed off it....

[quote
I hate to agree with a Griz, but I see what this guy is saying. When Kramer was our coach, our players used to play with such emotion and pride. Ever since Ash has showed up, it is like we are out there just to play and have fun. I hate Hauck, but he does a lot of things right. After the Weber loss, he told his players to be more emotional and celebrate everything. Look where they are at now. Our team lacks leadership and emotion, two things you need to be a winning team.[/quote]

I couldn't disagree more. The Cats, top to bottom, played with heart on Saturday. You don't have to be a Rah, Rah idiot yourself to put players into a position to win and play with intensity. Keep it up Rob. you're on the right track.
