If coaches came to your school for a visit and asked you to "put this on and take a picture" you prob wouldn't say nodirten wrote:Photo seems pretty committed to me is all I am saying.

He's only 17. He's a great kid and a great athlete. He will be a good one. I just hope he picks MSU - and Vim is 100% right that having Choate is huge.

I have no knowledge in terms of specific players, but from what you and others have said, it sounds like we may end up gaining at least as much as whatever we might lose, as a result of the coaching change. I think the energy that Choate seems to exude, will be really appealing to prospective recruits.HelenaCat95 wrote:He's only 17. He's a great kid and a great athlete. He will be a good one. I have been very impressed with Choate in this short time, he's a busy, dedicated man!

This brings back memories. My son was recruited by a first-year coach and there is something magical about being recruited by a new coach. You might call it being part of a fresh start, getting in on the ground floor, or in general the excitement of a new program and the unknowns that go with it.

"Brute strength" was one of Chase's best pass rushing moves in high school. Here is his junior tape: (no senior tape yet)mslacatfan wrote:yeah, that's what I was thinking... holy crap, he does not look like a high school kid...luckyirishguy25 wrote:Kids a MONSTER for 18.VimSince03 wrote:Nope...but things are looking up since Choate came on board.luckyirishguy25 wrote:Has Chase committed yet?RobertCats wrote:Chase Benson @cbens50 9m9 minutes ago

Looks like MSU is overlaying its academic marketing on its athletics program. Need to start bringing Andy Austin along.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I've seen this tape, its good... but you really don't get this kids size until you stick him next to a Bobcat legend and he makes Kane look like a smurf!VimSince03 wrote:"Brute strength" was one of Chase's best pass rushing moves in high school. Re: Montana Recruits 2016
Just imagine a small fry football team with an offensive and defensive line consisting of Chase along with Gus Herzog and Trase LeTexier.
8th grade all over 6 foot tall.

Has Benson committed? i hadn't heard anything. But I saw he started following Skyline Sports and Darrius Mosley and him started following each other.

Right now our odds of getting him are high. That's all I'm gonna say. Still getting recruited by FBS schools as well. Will depend on what is offered.Bozcat003 wrote:Has Benson committed? i hadn't heard anything. But I saw he started following Skyline Sports and Darrius Mosley and him started following each other.

If you guys get him, you are getting a really good one. My kid has played against him in most sports since about 3rd grade and he is a flat beast. Had some leg injuries lately, but I hope he is fully healed.

Re: Montana Recruits 2016
You can say, busy coaches all you want. But not following through on what was told is not okay. That can cost players. Priorities are found quite quickly. And it is obvious who is and isn't.
