Tommy has been asked to be something he isn't...a passer! Last year if the pass wasn't there he took off and ran wild. This year he is hesitating waiting for another receiver to clear. It makes him less than what he can be. You can't make a thoroughbred pull a plow!

I think it boils down to the fact they don’t have Chambers and are worried about injuries to Tommy.

I really wish they went to the portal for QB.

Reed is a great QB. Not the runner like Tommy or Chambers but I think he's the best actual passer on the team.

Is it too soon to fire up the run Vigen out of town bus? New coordinators and same defensive mistakes and bad offensive play calling as last year. At some point the only explanation left is it’s Vigen’s fault.

Hoping the Bobcats learn from this and can go on a run like they did in 2021. The schedule certainly sets them up to do so. Go Cats!

I'm well aware of that. I'm also not going to overreact to one game no matter how bad it looks out there.

I’m a bit reactive from this game. This is a senior heavy team with what we were led to believe adjustments in coaching that would be beneficial. I see a team that looks lost, not a team where winning is the culture. The score would be switched around if this was SDSU/NDSU playing the Lobos.

Fair enough, I guess we only have to wait 7 days to find out how they respond to this! I think many fans here were very, very optimistic about the coordinator change somehow instantly eliminating the team's weaknesses from past seasons.

That’s encouraging. Few times I saw him last year he did well with the 2’s and 3’s. Still would love to of seen a portal pick up to up the competition

Remember how last year went? That was ridiculous. Another year and another roster brimming with talent and gearing up for another waste of said talent. More than willing to look ridiculous if it means voicing my hatred of mediocrity.

Well put. This feels like the first half of the Idaho game or the entire Griz game. We’re on our heels, tentative, and making mistakes without making any big plays to make up for it. Some concerning trends from last year that are continuing in game one. That’s a little scary.

Yes, Reed is absolutely the best pure passer on the roster. I’d like to see what he can do. True passing game (going through progressions) w/ our running game. Could be dangerous!

No one likes to see me blame Vigen but I did last year and I’m gonna do it again this year. At some point he’s the last one to blame. Coordinators got most of my hate last year but they’re gone and the trends and mistakes of last year continue. At some point Vigen is the only one left.
