I know there were many other reasons for the crowd to cheer, but someone pointed out to me that with no music the crowd really filled the gaps with noise. I say if that is one of the factors we should stop playing in game music because the crowd can more than fill the gaps.
I didn't even realize they didn't play the jock-rock until I read this post. So I guess I didn't miss it...at all. The cannon was missed however.

As for the PA guy. I read on the AGS board that they are not allowed to show bias. He said first down much quicker than he usually does-and it actually works better if you ask me.

Kudos to the hearty band members who played. They were small in number but did a great job.
The PA guy nearly put ME to sleep when he was talking.

The BAND however, was awesome! We were sitting directly across from them and I thought they were great! Nicely done!

I did notice the lack of stadium music. Hate to admit it, but kinda missed it. The band was awesome. Even though their numbers were down, sure heard them a lot! Maybe some compromise can come of it by next football season.

Im not sure if this is correct but I heard that the NCAA takes about 75% of all gate reciepts so teams often under report attendance to save some money for themselves. Not sure if its true but its a good idea.
I sure hope they didn't do this, mainly because it's called fraud. My guess is that there will be some major NCAA interest in the "low" playoff attendance numbers this past week. Bear in mind that attendance in Bozeman was one of the best of this week. There were some other games where it sounds like attendance may have been WAY underreported. I'd hate for future playoff hosting considerations to be threatened my the desire to make a little extra coinage. To be clear: I'm not saying that this happened in Bozeman - I would be shocked if it did. I'm simply stating that I hope it didn't, as it seems some schools did exactly this.
