By interest group do you mean the fans who are interested in paying a premium to watch the game from a comfortable box seat?FTG06' wrote:I dont really care where the money comes from. Its about damn time that Gamble did something for the fans. This interest group crap is the kind of thing that gets me really annoyed.

I know this is old news but does anybody know anything more about the skyboxes approved by the borad of regents. When are they being built and what will they look like? I am curious about this facility fund and how much money it is going to take for some of this stuff to get done.

The skyboxes are going to look like the ones on the other side that are already built. The price tag is an estimated $7 mil. They won't be going public with their plans until this upcoming year, which means that they won't be breaking ground on them until at least the '08 season. Probably later. All this info was gleaned with just a quick view of the original article... same 'ol same 'ol... nothing new.bcats wrote:When are they being built and what will they look like? Bcats, you're going to drive yourself insane if you don't relax on this stadium thing. It's going to take years, man... your guy Van Deist will probably be in his second or third year as head coach by the time the stadium is completely finished.

I think that the addition of the sky boxes on that side will help the "looks" of the stadium as much as putting a bowl in the endzone would. I am not going to say I would rather see them, but there is a big up-side for them too, and lets not forget that they will be filled with other bobcat fans, wealthy and not as into the games as the rest of us, but fans none the less.
