Re: Lamson Appreciation
If he leads the Cats through the playoffs and to Nashville, playing at that level, I think he's a legit NFL prospect. AND he has one more year of eligibility! I really hope he decides to stay at MSU.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I agree, that seems to be his mindset for now. But if a Power 5 school comes knocking and says to jump ship for a couple million dollars...BOBCATBORN wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 10:41 amBased on his post game presser it sure sounds like he would stay.

He has been at power 5 teams and didn't get to playcatatac wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:35 amI agree, that seems to be his mindset for now. Exactly. Six figure NIL offers can change the mind of a 22 year old very quick.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:35 amI agree, that seems to be his mindset for now. Lamson is a stud. But hes not Cam Ward. Hes more like Ifanse. I don't think there are going to be a lot of top tier programs offering...and hes obviously in a really good place right now.91catAlum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:47 amExactly. Yep, but there are various factors in all that. I think he's improved and grown, proved yesterday he is flat out a winner.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:45 amHe has been at power 5 teams and didn't get to playcatatac wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:35 amI agree, that seems to be his mindset for now. Improved and grown in this program with a coach that recruited him in high school. Do you leave to an unknown or stay where you know your the guy.

Re: Lamson Appreciation
If Vigen leaves for one of those CSU, OSU, etc offers, he’s taking his qb with him. Please, please football gods, keep Vigen here until he is offered a P4 job he can’t pass up as Klieman did.

I thought it was one of the best QB performances in the history of the Cat-Griz game..."ya know what I mean?"
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I don’t think Lamson leaves even if Vigen does.
He’s never gotten to play in a place with fan support like this. Nowhere he transfers to will have that either. He’s not a pro prospect, he already has a degree from a good school, he ain’t leaving.

Agree he's probably not on any NFL boards right now, but I think he has potential, if he keeps playing like he did yesterday. Or, are you thinking he doesn't have NFL size or skills.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 1:14 pmI don’t think Lamson leaves even if Vigen does.

He doesn’t have an NFL arm or accuracy.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 2:48 pmAgree he's probably not on any NFL boards right now, but I think he has potential, if he keeps playing like he did yesterday. We all had our doubts when the year started. I don't think anyone is doubting him anymore.

I was one that was very doubtful, He was the right guy for the job. He’s proven me wrong and gotten more consistent every game. When he gets in a flow, he manages the game really well and makes plays however, he needs.
In particular in Missoula, he was a cool Cat
I knew Coach saw him as the man and that’s why he gets paid when he gets paid. So glad he is proven me wrong.
Still looking to see if Wilson gets worked into packages with Lamson on the field.
My understanding is Duchein is also improving in practice every day.

Re: Lamson Appreciation
Ty had great comments about people calling a QB a game manager. Says they should be. Make right reads, don't turn ball over, etc. Lamson fits that perfectlykwcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 11:49 amI was one that was very doubtful, He was the right guy for the job. Re: Lamson Appreciation
He'd be a hell of a coach some day I think. Very articulate and engaging.
