Floyd Little was famous for his bow legs.

If ifanse had stayed here I bet he would have got a pretty good look. FA deal or maybe even a late round pick…. Not so much anymore.

Call it the “Dakota prukop” scenario.
Not a chance. Older RB, he’d have even more carries on his body, lacked top end speed in his 40. Prukop has done well for a former Bobcat QB by sticking in the CFL.
Think yer missing my point. Just saying that had he stayed here he would have had a better shot or chance at the next level.

Same with prukop- being an all American/Walter Payton winner type player gives you a better chance vs going to Oregon and losing the starting job.
Ifanse's pro aspirations ended with his 4.59 PRO DAY 40. Probably need to add about .05 on pro day times compared to combine times. Couple a slow 40 time with all the mileage and those guys are a dime a dozen. Had Ifanse stayed at MSU, stayed healthy, and had similar production, he still would have needed to run a 4.5 (or better) pro day time to get an UDFA deal.
The NFL has devalued the RB anyway, right? I mean the first RB taken in the draft was the 46th pick, the next one was in the third round. I don't mean that they've devalued the position, because they are still a huge part of the game. But they're fickle about the players themselves, and they damn sure don't pay them like they used to. Obviously if there's a Bijan Robinson in a draft they're going early, but that's not the norm. For the most part, the best RBs in the country are going in later rounds, leaving G-5 guys with high mileage looking for real jobs like the rest of us suckers.
Nailed it. The things that the NFL want from a running back aren't worth paying "real" NFL money.

The thing that NFL teams want from a #3 or #4 running back are special teams. I think the biggest thing that hurt Ifanse is that he didn't block any punts this year. Miles Killebrew, from SUU, just got a third contract and is going into his 9th season. It's pretty much purely because he blocks punts

I’m surprised he ran that fast.
Said this on Nuanez Now last week....production and accomplishments are small parts of the equation. Pro Day times, all-star game appearances weigh much more heavily than what you do in college, unfortunately.

Troy Andersen was going to be a Top 50 pick no matter what he ever did in college. The production is just icing on the cake. Ifanse, conversely, was never ever going to be an NFL running back. He is bow-legged and slow by NFL standards, can't operate in pass pro and doesn't catch the ball out of the backfield. Phenomenal college back. One of the best we've ever covered. Not league. Never was. Nothing he could've done would've made him league. It's just the sad truth.
Are there any bow-legged players in the NFL? I remember Benny Malone (Dolphins) and Walt Garrison (Cowboys) back in the 70s (sports most colorful era) being bow-legged. I’m sure there were others. I can’t remember the last time I saw anyone in the NFL with bow legs.
Walt Garrison came by his bow legs the old-fashioned way. He competed in Rodeo riding bareback broncs and bulls before and after his Cowboy football career.

Garrison also had a country album.

Tennessee has a bow-legged safety. I forget if it was Marcus Robertson or Blaine Bishop, I just remember he played for Tennessee

That he did. He played for the OSU Cowboys and his entire NFL career for the Dallas Cowboys. Died just last fall.

Had no idea we had lost Garrison.
