Griz by 10, pretty easily. win the BSC for the second time in the same school year and the crush the spirit of the cats in the same swing of the bat. Glorious.
Griz should be favored in this one, but the Cat's are playing better then the two times we played in the season and the Griz seem to be about the same.
One thing that will not happen (win or lose) is the griz will not crush the spirit of the Cats.
With the talent the Griz have on their bball team this year I feel as though they underachieved. The griz should have won the regular season. Meanwhile the Cats have overachieved and may be hungrier for the win.

Wishful thinking. Cats women split and finished same spot as Griz with multiple injuries. Volleyball split and won when it counted with best season in history. Football Griz won, embarrassed themselves in chipper. Indoor track no contest.
Men's, Cats return 1 starter, new coach, counted out most of year, playing in the championship so lots to loon forward to. griz playing 8 7 year players, expected to win couldn't do it reg season, happy 1 and 2 got knocked off.
You probably are not looking forward to xt year.

I think you're likely right with your prediction, but the only crushing result of this game would be if the most experienced team in the Big Sky can't beat the one with a brand-new coach and totally rebuilt roster.

@Colter_Nuanez says that "your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness." What is the greatest strength of the Gris, and how does it translate to a weakness?

The greatest strength of the Griz is that they are the oldest and most experienced team in the Big Sky. This may transfer to a weakness if Aanen Moody is too old to be able to stay awake until 11:30 PM when the game will end.

This is pretty much what should happen with the amount of talent and experience on that Griz team..... if fact on paper it looks like the Griz should blow the Cats out of the water. Cats are definitely the underdog here. Fortunately for Cat fans though, this Cat team is playing hard right now and playing pretty well. We'll see how things shake out!
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

One thing MSU has going for it is 55 minutes off the bench in both of its games. UM has 55 minutes (28, 27) combined in its games.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

A couple interesting stats I looked up today:
MSU will become the fifth Big Sky team to play in four or more straight championship games (Weber '76-'80, Nevada '82-'85, EWU '01-'04, and UM '10-'13 were the others). If they win tonight, they will become only the second Big Sky team to go back to back to back and the first since Weber did it in '78, '79, and '80.

Cats 4 of 10 teams to make it. So we either underperform during season or over perform at tourney.

MSU is the BSC all time bracket buster. 4 times. Only one other team has done it twice.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

This will be fun — Montana teams squaring off for the BSC title. Good luck, Bobcats.

Just noticed the 9:30 PM start time for this one...it's going to be a long night!
Or, in my case, and early morning. It’s a 4:30 am start time here. Getting my espresso on as I type.

Go Cats!

Griz doing exact what I wish Cats would do. Get to the rim and get to the foul line
