Singelton with a 3 at the buzzer to tie it at 21 after a 3-point play from Jamar. End of the half.

as hard as that was to watch, cats have to LOVE where they are right now. both teams struggled with adjusting to the refs but i'll take the cats in a low-scoring game over a high-scoring game every time. they are 15 point dogs coming in......so i'm happy.

as for my comment about rod, i was just saying that i think he deserves the minutes because i still think he's the best option at point....and this team is still playing for something. combine that with the fact that he has a great attitude and brings it every day....i like him running the show. i certainly don't think he "wows" anyone playing at this level.....but huse thought he had what it takes and now all rod can do is play the best of his ability. personally....i think he's playing better than anyone in blue and gold so far.

cats gotta bring some serious intensity in the 2nd half because right now you know the griz gotta be furious.

I appreciate good defense more than good offense in most sports, so I'll agree with you there.

I could tell exactly what you were saying. I don't have any problem with Rod. I don't hate the guy. He just has no future on this team, because he's a senior on a team that's not going anywhere. To me, whatever's best for the future of the team is what the coaching staff should be doing at this point.

Based on the first half, intensity won't be a problem. There's a lot that could go wrong, but that's not one of them. I doubt that the Cats are going to lack intensity to begin the second half. If anything, they're a better second half team.

EDIT: Laski just said that UM's fans have done a good job of packing the joint. I say they've always been good at packing joints up in Zootown.

Cats down 9. That 3 looks like it's the beginning of the end for the Cats tonight.

10 minutes to go. down 13. We're done. Hopefully we can score 50.

Budnich knocks down two 3s in a row. It figures that the Bud would be good in Missoula.

(Too bad Blount isn't playing, too. Then we could really have some fun.)

2 no-call fouls in a row for the griz. Terrible no-calls.

Refs then miss a travel on Singleton. They are bad tonight.

Valiant effort. Had an opportunity to win against a griz team playing kind of off tonight. But couldn't find a way.

While the result isn't going to be the one we want, I can't fault the Cats' effort tonight. They've done a great job, and I think we can see that Budinich can be a scorer. For the first time in this "wonderful" month of February, the Cats look like they're moving in a positive direction...they're not moving backwards. I want the Cats to beat the Griz, so that's not going to make today a fun day. But I'm guessing Monday's game is not going to be close...we won't have to worry about a loss to 1-14 NAU. I'm not happy with the final result, but I'm very happy with the effort.

Given that Jeff Budenich has such good height and has a great touch shooting, I don't understand why he hasn't played more. I guess he will now that we are short-handed.

Not unless Johnson and Fall get in foul trouble in the rest of their games. I don't think Huse likes Budnich, for whatever reason. I think every time he gets a decent stretch of playing time, he makes a pretty good case that he should be playing more, and yet he only plays when other guys get early fouls.

Well then fine, we have to worry about it. I guess I saw something positive this evening and got caught up in it. Let's just see how it plays out, I guess.

I like what jeff does on offense, but he's a major liability on the defensive end.
