Re: Why can't the Cats finish a season?
Old Skool Cat- learn how to read moron. I did say players need to step up and make shots?? do you agree with that?? and i did not scold posters for not supporting i said "i will always support the Cats as we all should" how is that scolding? So you do agree that we need to always support the Cats right?? so how can i not have it both ways? i cant support the Cats as i always will and cant say the players need to step up and not plays? What the hell planet are you from? Your probably one of those dudes that never played a second in your life and never donated a dime but wants everyone to take your input like your a genius! And you need to quit being so rabid and use some common sense once in a while. They obviously played horrible vs Idaho which we all know. Hopefully they will clean it up before this Thursday because if we lose both we will alll be disappointed. This team is underachieving in my mind especially the seniors! They are all capable of doing good things but it seems they have quit and are blaming others instead of stepping up and being accountable. They are more than capable of making a run. The big sky is not great lets be honest. Did you see LBSU smack Montana the other night on ESPN2 and Northridge (who stole Sprinkle) beat EWU by 9 at Eastern and is in complete rebuilding mode (playing 6 true freshman and lost 2 scholarships becasue of APR) according to what Sprinkle told my friend it is not even close to being as good as it was in the 90's when Weber, UM , MSU, NAU, Cal State Northridtge were all better than any team in this league. You guys all remember those teams and would agree right?? if you look at every team from 1990-2000 they would all have had a chance to win the Big Sky this year and at worst finish 2nd.

Wow -- we must be in the presence of greatness, oh wise bigmac. So telling posters on this board that they are clueless is not scolding them? You do remember saying that, right? Sounds like scolding to me. And how did you know I never played a second in my life? Sh$t, man, I don't even know what a friggin' basketball looks like! I'm just pissin' in the wind when I talk about the game. And have you been peeking at my checkbook again? Otherwise, how would you know I have never donated a dime to MSU? You better call the Bobcat Club and tell 'em to quit giving me all these membership benefits since I have never written a check to them.bigmacvirginia wrote:Old Skool Cat- learn how to read moron. Is that all you got, brother? Callin' me names and using the same old, tired "you must not have ever played the game" line just because you don't agree with what I or others have said on a message board. Grow a pair of stones, man. You don't like people saying that the Cats have little to no talent? Don't come on the board then. Better yet, start your own blog or radio talk show where all people need to hear about is your opinion. The Cats played horrible against Idaho? Duhhh! Tell me the last time they played a good ball game? Tell me the last time they shot the ball well? You think we have a good ball club just because there are teams that are below us in the standings? I've got news for you, brother -- we've already lost to two of those teams during this nine game losing streak; both ISU and Sac State took it to us. And Sac beat us in the Brick, where we supposed to be pretty invincible.
Oh, and by the way, if I am so rabid as you suggest, surely I must not have been thinking clearly when I started a thread about the Cats having a chance at finishing the season strong and making some noise in the BSC tourney: http://www.bobcatnation.com/bobcatbb/vi ... 21&t=23936" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You and I both want the same thing and that's cool; difference is that I am not afraid to admit that there is something broken with the program, and it needs fixing before we ever get back to competitiveness.

after reading more posts i have determined that Old Skool Cat is an idiot who claims to be the most rabid in the nation! you obviously have never seen a great college atmosphere like down south or in midwest. That is rabid my friend!! Dont get me wrong but you have no clue what passion is until you have seen football and basketball down south or in midwest. People start tailgaiting on Wednesdays! you proabably roll into the stadium or arena a half hour before the game and bitch about what everybody is doing wrong and what you would do if you were coaching. CLOWN!

Re: Why can't the Cats finish a season?
yep, 4 posts all of which contain a personal insult or two. i replied to him right out of the gate and didn't get a reply. maybe because i backed up my words with stats? bottom line is this team isn't good. you can still support a team and admit that they are bad. i will never stop cheering for the cats. but i also am not afraid to call it like i see it. some people have a problem with that and that is fine. but talking down to people and calling names isn't the best way to get our point across. if i was a certain poster; i would be less afraid of being embarrassed if my kids caught me on a message board.....and more embarrassed about how i talk and treat other people who might have different opinions than me...

grizzh8r - I do believe your assessment of our new friend is spot on! In fact, it may even be a bit too kind. I have always found it odd and amusing how someone needs to revert to name calling in an attempt to get their point across. In a matter of only a couple of posts I have gone from a moron to an idiot to a clown. Careful, big mac, your education is giving you away; a dance major from the granola school in San Franssoula perhaps?grizzh8r wrote:Hmm, looks like BN has it's newest @sshat. Keep on diggin, BMV!
Does anyone else find it a little odd that the discussion went from the Bobcats' coaching and player efforts to now we're comparing our program to football & basketball in the south and midwest? Ummm, big mac, I hate to break it to you brother, but I don't give a rat's arse about football or basketball in the south or midwest. Hence, the reason I am on the "Bobcat Nation" website discussing Bobcat athletics in Montana. Stay with us, big mac, I know this online stuff can get a little confusing. We'll slow down a little if you need, just raise your hand.
