Tom Parac is still around Bozeman and you can see him at most games. the "Kid from Kalispell" that Erickson threw to was Ron Bain, and he was a good one! The fullback was Ray Becky from Butte

Rocky Tope? Rocky went to school (or I might say, was in Bozeman) the same time I was. Rocky was OK, but certainly not an "all time Bobcat". You must be from Fort Benton!

Bill Kollar, Curt Brandon, Tony Welzenbach, Tom Kostrba, Delmar Jones, Zoonie Mclean...I got a million of em!

Steve Kracker (?) and Edwards were both good running backs. Wonder how many yards Domineck would get with 35-44 carries a game

Bain's the one I couldn't remember; didn't he have a brother or something that screwed up and went south to play for the Brown colored school? He made some unbelievable one-handed catches (had to, Erickson wasn't too accurate

Kane Definetly

Post by cat_man_08 » Wed Apr 27, 2005 7:23 pm

Im not so sure about guys who played a long time ago because I wasn't alive but I do know that you gotta have Kane Ioan. This guy was truly devoted to Montana State University and the Bobcat football team. Throught the years that I Joey Thomas played I felt that he treated MSU almost as a second rate school and just a tool to get to the NFL and show those coaches in Washington that he could play at the highest level. He was only in it for him.

I also have to agree with Lulay and Ryan Johnson. I also gotta go with Pat Bolton since he's one of my football coaches at Great Falls High right now.

How did you guess? Rocky was my hero in Ft. Benton. He was a stud. I never saw him play college ball (to young) but I heard he was very good. I wouldn't be surprised if he never went to a single class.

Even though Sweeney ran the Houston Veer, I think some of the catches Bain made would have him on our rather short receiver list  If Ron and Doug are brothers, then they would have the distinction of both having played in the Camellia Bowl and losing in the Small College National Championship game, right? You know back in the day when there was only the seven or so major conferences and everybody else was small college (before 78.)
