I wasn't a big fan of the last one.

I'm not sure if I would hire someone with the word "BAD" in their name.
It's like the old Michael Jackson thing -- you know ... "Bad" means "good." Wait -- Michael Jackson analogies don't work very well anymore, do they? Damn entrapping young boys, messing up my witty reply....
With apologies to my old english teacher...she's worse than bad, she's bader!

oooooh yeah, I'm on a role today boys!!

I'm still having trouble swallowing the part where Hell's Bells said "despite those conditions he (Kudrna) did a remarkable job". What was remarkable? Not his number of wins. How he had 5 guards on the floor and never tried to fast break against much bigger teams? Or press?
Remarkable that the Lady Bobcat camp (which he ran) has the most standing around time of any camp I've ever seen. Remarkable that the assistants have no ties to Montana and blah personalities in a job where selling your university is the key. Kudrna was the only one of the candidates that was not qualified. Let's not prolong it. Get in a new coach that is qualified and not waste another year.

Well, I watched our new coach on t.v. tonight. Very impressed with the way she conducted herself and of course it always helps when they're pretty good looking also  I would imagine attendance will pick up considerably next year :-^

Still don't see why Kudrna couldn't be a head assistant. He has recruits and he would be a big help to the new coach in getting familier with the team and community. She shouldn't be threatend by him she already was picked over him. What is to lose?

Well, maybe he doesn't want to be an assistant coach to a person he just lost his job to. Wayne Tinkle, he is not.

When a coach hires their staff, they pick people who they know and trust. They choose people who accent their weaknesses, and have the same philosophy on basketball, not someone who they just beat out for the job....AND if I were Kuderna, I wouldn't want to be her head assistant. I don't know a thing about this woman, plus she just beat me out for the job...

Recruiting in Utah and Idaho might have something to do with the hire, as well. Before the implosion, MSU had pretty good success recruiting in both States. This might be an attempt to mend some fences in addition to all the other reasons for the hire.

Until Selvig retires, nobody will out-recruit the griz in Montana.

As someone else already said, African American women will not come to Bozo or Mazzola to play hoops any time soon - maybe someday, and maybe after one program or the other hires an African American women's coach, or two.

I agree about Selvig and hard to out-recruit hin in MT. But I sure hope that Coach Binford is talking right now to the girl from Billings Central, who verballed to MSU earlier. She is the Gatorade player of the year from MT and it would be nice to get this girl from our home state.

18? She jokingly said in her interview she stands 5-foot-nothing and looks 15! But I think the truth is 5-4 and 31.

As for the player from Billings Central, we could use an athlete like that. She was a national finalist in punt-pass-kick when she was 12! She said earlier that she *really* wanted to come to Bozeman but was waiting on the coaching decision.

I sure don't think that Tricia Binford would be a negative to her coming to MSU.

Also, where would Herringer go? I think the missoulian said selvig was finished recruiting for the year.

In Missoulain today Selvig said he it looks like he is done recruiting for now, BUT he
still has one scholarship available IN CASE he happens to find another athlete. It does
not take a physic to figure this one out.
