The overall record in Griz-Cat head-to-head football match-ups is 68 Griz wins, 35 Cat wins, and 5 ties.

In fact, you have to go all the way back to 1910 to find the last time the series was tied (at 7 games a piece), after which the Grizzles went ahead and have never looked back.

Here’s a link to the records and facts.

uh...it's CAT-fiz. Everyone knows that. And it's easy to discount others achievements when your football team had NONE until 1995.

This is a clear case of CAT envy. It's a hard thing for a fiz fan to see. Give him a break. #-o
68 UM - 35 MSU - 5 ties
CATS 3 National Titles
Fiz 2 National Titles.

I am totally OK with the Cats' 3 national titles, just like I am with Carroll's five national titles or whatever. If the Cats were the best of the small NAIA schools when the Griz were in the same conference with USC, UCLA, etc., the Cats were still the best among the small programs (like Carroll is today ... but they're losing to Sioux Falls at the moment ... go Saints!).

I think the point of this shows that UM was whooping your sorry asses long before 1990.

PDXGriz, it's true the Grizzlies have led the Griz-Cat series every year since 1910. Cat fans like to carve out a 29-year period (1956 to 1985) during which the Cats had a better-than-50-percent win ratio against the Griz, but the Griz have led the series every year since 1910. The most recent 23 years have been outright ridiculous (tilted 20-3 in Griz favor). That's why I like to throw the Cats a bone and say, "Hey, 68-35-5 overall isn't as bad as 20-3." But I honestly believe, hope, and pray the Cats are moving in a competitive direction. The wide-out help they're getting in this year's recruiting class seems impressive. Let's hope it makes a difference on the field.
