Several false starts, a couple illegal formations (one that cost about 70 yards). Oregon is not forcing them to line up wrong. Need to be better in this area.

Who cares if he would have? Running a different offense with a different QB. Sleep it off. You're a clown.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:43 pmBut honestly you don’t think Tommy busts one of the RPOs? I can give you two examples where he would have ran like a horse. This is Lamson’s fifth career start. He’s completed nearly 75 percent of his passes. He completed less than 50% prior to coming here. I don’t know what the Mellott comparison is about but Lamson is playing well all things considered. This might be the best passing game of his career and it’s playing with an fcs team against a team that has a payroll bigger than some pro teams.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:39 pmGotcha, like a tackle? Yes. Hi line is a drunken buffoon. Who cares if Tommy would have broken a run. Not like we benched him for Lamson. We're going to be just fine or better on offense. #4 in the country getting boat raced at Iowa state. Iowa state would lose to Oregon by 30. There's literally zero to draw from this other than 650 grand.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:47 pmThis is Lamson’s fifth career start. He’s completed nearly 75 percent of his passes. Re: Grok’s unofficial Montana State vs Oregon gameday thread
If anyone isn't happy with Lamson's performance, I don't what to tell you. Maybe it was just a fluke, but it looked like he had great zip on the ball and was very accurate. He put the ball in the right spot for receivers to gain yards after the catch when he needed to. 23 for 31, no INTs and 198 yards. The yardage isn't great for that many passes, but the other team is incredibly fast so getting extra yards was tough.
The worst part of the game was the penalties and blocks. There's nothing MSU or any FCS team could do about the inability to move the ball on the ground. I always say that most games with huge 50+ scores usually have things happen that cause that. The two blocks and the two penalties on the final drive of the half all but gave Oregon 17 points. MSU passing as much as it did helped Oregon's offense as well. Left them more time to work with.
A lot of teams (I recall several games MSU did this) just try to burn the clock out in games like these. Run on first and second, and sometimes third to keep clock moving. MSU came out throwing.
Oregon paid MSU a lot of respect by attacking from the get-go. They weren't going to have a repeat of last year's game vs. Idaho. They went after punts and played aggressively on both sides.
MSU tackled well for the most part and played hard all game.

Jhase McMillan was as advertised. He is not only fast but he's physical. Messed up on the long 40-yarder pass but that's about it.
