Zimmer, Carr, and McMillan seem too obvious. Caden Dowler started, but he’s going to show he’s more than just Taco’s brother. Dominic Solano is another.
I have two guys who I think show flashes this year with limited playing time. Mason Dethman and Seth Brock.

Isn't Jefferson still the projected starter? It would be impressive ive Zimmer wins out after how well Cendric played at the beginning of last year.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 11:36 amI’ll go with:iaafan wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 5:06 pmZimmerman would’ve been a great pick for breakout player but it’s too late now. lolkwcat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 10:04 amSounds like Zimmer is coming along wellVimSince03 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:53 amThis guess is getting warmer...GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 2:01 pmMy guess on oline at Oregon, assuming all are healthy.

Re: 2025 Breakout and Expected Improved Players
I'm interested to see what the starting OL looks like for the first game. Vigen has generally subscribed to the idea of getting the best 5 guys out there regardless of position....that's why we say Wehr move inside to guard. I wonder if we see Titan or Cedric move inside in order to make a spot for Braden....if, in fact, Braden is one of the top 5 at this point.technoCat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 1:51 pmIsn't Jefferson still the projected starter? The initial depth chart released by MSU listed it as Jefferson OR Zimmer, which indicated to me that there was no clear starter/backup hierarchy yet at the position.technoCat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 1:51 pmIsn't Jefferson still the projected starter? Jefferson is a large human being, but Zimmer is large and a freak athlete. I will not be surprised to see him as a 4 year starter at MSU.MSU01 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 2:43 pmThe initial depth chart released by MSU listed it as Jefferson OR Zimmer, which indicated to me that there was no clear starter/backup hierarchy yet at the position.technoCat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 1:51 pmIsn't Jefferson still the projected starter? He was my pick for last year. I really thought for some reason he was going to absolutely dominate. He had a good season, but I think this is him year (again)PortlandCat90 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 16, 2025 12:43 pmI'm a visionary.

Not sure why they can't update the website roster with height and weight when players reported for Fall Camp! Still showing Zimmer at 240 which is obviously wrong. I think Colter or someone said he's up to 280 or 290, can't remember.Cataholic wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 4:17 pmJefferson is a large human being, but Zimmer is large and a freak athlete. He’s gained 62 pounds and weighs 287 pounds at his heaviest. Told me he’s eating 6,000+ calories a day, but probably way morecatatac wrote: ↑Sat Aug 16, 2025 3:02 pmNot sure why they can't update the website roster with height and weight when players reported for Fall Camp! Re: 2025 Breakout and Expected Improved Players
Lol. My feelings aren't hurt on any thread. There are posts stating that we may be better at qb this season than last. All I'm saying is that's a big ask, given our guy last year led the country in passing efficiency and won the Walter Payton. We've never, ever had a transfer sniff that kind of success. There's a first time for everything and the pieces are definitely in place. It's just amazing to me how short our memories are. That offense last year was literally unstoppable. A wagon. If we're better than that, that's a hell of a coaching and recruiting job.tetoncat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 8:24 amNow your feelings are hurt on 2 threads. Show the post that says he will be the greatest ever. Strong RB, Strong OL, upgrade at WR potentially, so if he is good it I possible to be as good or better.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 9:06 pmIf you go look at the fall camp thread, Justin Lamson is going to be the greatest player in the history of the program at QB and this year's offense is going to be better than last years. Do you think the Cats have a chance to be National Champs. If so they will need to be as good offensively and upgraded defensively to do that.
