What if the gift is the 200k just giving to the band? Pretty cool they did that for them. It’s gonna get real weird on here for a minute or two.

The band just got a 200k donation to send them to Frisco.

I guess I should have added more 0000’s to my $200 donation

I thought the indoor practice facility was already a game changer. To have them label this as such…it’s gotta be a stadium expansion

Since we're dreaming.
I'm just wondering if we get a huge gift do we need to make the stadium as big as washedup griz stadium. In some ways it would be cool to have the biggest stadium in the state but on the other hand it's nice if it's always full. I'm thinking official capacity of around 21,777 which gives us about 4000 more seats is a good target.

There is no way, if and when an expansion of the stadium happens, will the capacity be less than Wagris.

I heard they were going to tear down the whole stadium, rebuild it to hold 41K, they are also including a medical school, studying brains named for Neuraliink. Kevin Coster does get the new Yellowstone Suite, Arthur gets the Troy zone suite. Every grain growers in the state now has to pay a barley tax to supply the new brewery, called the Mony Mony brewery. I heard this from Gregoracks cousin's nephew, that has an inside source. You can now stop all the other speculation as this has the ring of truth that will rule them all.

You guys aren’t reading the title. A game changing gift, not a stadium changing gift.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Switching the Oregon game next year from Autzen to Bobcat stadium due to renovations. That would be sweet, or not. lol.

Guy on the plane behind me was saying that because of the summer Olympics, Bobcat Stadium is getting major renovations for the flag football event. $130 million dollars, seating up to 35K fans, heated toilet seats, alcohol sales in the stadium. Will also be hosting 25 major concerts a year….

It’s my speculation that more people travel from further away for Bobcat games than gris games. Missoula, Frenchtown, and the bitterroot have quite a bit more people than the gallatin valley. I say that, to make the point that I don’t think MSU could sell 26k tickets very often. Probably Gold Rush and Cat/gris and maybe homecoming. But the reality is, even during an undefeated season, Bobcat Stadium didn’t sell out until a couple hours before kickoff of the semifinal game.

I’m not that concerned on capacity. 21-22k seems appropriate. But a revamped east side with press boxes and something needs done on the north side. My wandering mind has even thought that moving the video board to the south side to open that area for seating makes sense to me.

A $250,000,000 gift could endow all athletic scholarships for years and then some.

I think there will be very minimal seating on the north end, maybe 15 feet high max, otherwise the windows in the BAC would be covered up. I can't imagine those windows would be there if the plan was to build a big tall north end. Seems like a waste of a lot of windows. But who knows.

Spoken like a true CPA! And I have to believe the tax benefits to the donor would be massive as well. If I understand an endowment, you could probably count on roughly $15 million per year to fund various infrastructure projects, scholarships, salaries, etc.

Guys it's going to be called Yellowstone-Dutton Bobcat Stadium. John Dutton is the donor.

There used to be a professional sports venue named the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. They let the naming rights go to another entity. I am not aware of another stadium currently carrying the Home Depot name. I would be comfortable with a Home Depot Stadium in Bozeman.

Home Depot sucks in my world…not a fan of them or Lowe’s. Last resort for me
