Military appreciation?

How much did that send up the tuition for the average student from Highwood?

I'm sick of our FCS football being all about money. It all rolls downhill. And, it looks stupid.

And. yes, I'm a veteran. Military appreciation? Give it a rest and stop wasting money.
Colleges do not pay for uniforms; they are provided for free by apparel companies through multi-million dollar contracts.
Do your really beileve that there is not a "you scracth my back and I'll scratch yours" thing going on? It is ALL about money nowadays.

And, yeah, arguing about faggy purple jerseys is kind of silly, but let's look at the bigger picture shall we. And now... on to your regularly scheduled programming...

Why are we talking about Weber's jerseys?

Don't know for sure, but heard he took a swing at someone. Maybe someone can verify.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Threw a punch. Happened behind the play.

We’ve all had a great day and some partook in some cocktails. And some partook more than others partook……

I just don’t think any amount of nickel and diming the football budget is going to fix that. There are much bigger forces driving that cost.
It all starts somewhere. My first quarter at MSU in 1983 was $275 for 12-18 credits. What is it now and why?

Sorry. I don't mean to derail the game thread. I'm just tired of the whole system.
Some additional expenses are things like computers and computer labs that are required by the times.

But a good chunk of cost is for increased student demands. Things that did not exist when tuition was low are fancy exercise facilities, climbing walls, coffee shops, first-class dining rooms with greatly improved meal choices, and additional student support services of all kinds — writing centers, learning centers, etc. Classroom buildings have been hugely upgraded — does anyone remember Math classes in the North Barracks with wind whistling through the uninsulated wood walls? It was pretty barebones. It provided an excellent education at a great price point. How many of today’s students would want to attend?

Turn on the Griz game everyone!!
So sick of the gris and their charmed life.
Agreed. There must be no team in the nation that has gotten into more cliffhangers and gotten out of them with a win. Score is never final until 15 minutes after the game.

Entering the thread late here but what is with these ridiculous looking uniforms?

Howsabout we stick with blue and gold, huh?
Military Appreciation and they'll be auctioned off after the game for charity. They're not as good as the normal jerseys but I'm all for the overall idea of what they're doing with them.
I think they look great!
Do they typically auction off for quite a bit? I’d like to get one for my pops!

Also, MSU was on quarters in 1983, so a full year of tuition was more like $800. It's about $8000 now for a full year. Rent in Bozeman is up 10x in that time frame, a car is up 10x, wages are likely up 10x.

Pretty sure that there are a lot more schollies available too. My kid had a tuition waiver offered based on their PSAT scores, so they could have come here for free.

And to your point, even with all the things that MSU has added on over the years, it's still a relatively bare bones experience compared to the next tier up. Go check out the dorms & student services at the next tier up: Colorado or Utah or UW or Oregon. Theres a whole different set of expectations from students. Those things aren't free.

And don't even get me started on the cuts out of Helena or the skyrocketing arms race for top tier administrators like Waded or Leon.

Whats bonkers in my mind is how many times the gris pull out a win based on an unforced error.

I mean, a fumble on the spike? C'mon man.

What? No more mystery meat in the dining hall? How can they even call that an education! :-^
