MSU owns the state of Montana right now in virtually every single metric.
Does anyone know where this dude might have been 0n 11/20/21? He's right about one thing; the state ownership was clear to anyone watching, including every one of the Bobcats.
I have no idea. But I know where he probably was on 1/8/2022. Do you?

This is hilarious!
While this is obviously a minor infraction of the rules, Bobby tossed it out there practically begging for it to be reported.
Bobby is a clever dude, he's probably using the public violation in order to distract from some internal shenanigans.

So the question is what is he hiding? Shall we call for an all out investigation of the gris athletic department?
Now this is how to get the ball rolling when attempting to turn a one-off into something deliciously fun.

Seriously though, gris fans have been rather quiet on this board, now they seem to have taken a much bigger interest. Me thinks they protest too much for such a minor infraction. Why are they protesting so much?

So I’m not understanding what the infraction is. Please explain.

Kemagic and Hooked are two of the whiniest and least intelligent posters over on egriz (and that is saying something). They are the stereotypical Gris fan that believes they invented football and the center of the world is Missoula. They are one of the reasons that you can’t spend more than a minute on egriz.

It is pretty straightforward. Here is the actual NCAA language from the sanction of UM:

Pursuant to NCAA Bylaws 19.5.2.2-(e)-(2) and 31.2.2.3, the institution will vacate all wins in which student-athletes 1 and 2 competed while ineligible during the 2011 football regular season. Further, the institution's participation in the 2011 NCAA Division I FCS championship shall be vacated. The individual records of student-athletes 1 and 2 shall be vacated as well. Further, the institution's records regarding football, as well as the record of the head coach will reflect the vacated records and will be recorded in all publications in which football records for the 2011 season are reported, including, but not limited to institutional media guides, recruiting material, electronic and digital media plus institutional, conference and NCAA archives.

Bobby’s actions could easily be portrayed as an FU to the NCAA.

I guess I get the rule but this seems pretty ridiculous to me. Seems Bobby did exactly what he wanted to do; rile up Cat fans.

They beat us. Nothing the NCAA does changes that fact. I'd probably do the same thing he did just to sit back and watch the reaction.

Still not seeing the issue. We are currently at 73 wins.
This is a list of all Griz wins excluding the 2011 victory. The total is 73.

So again, what is the infraction? Is he not allowed to use twitter at all?

I don't know the rules well enough. What is the risk? What penalties could he face for something so trivial? If he has little to lose, and can fire up his rivals and listen to people whine maybe it's just what he wanted.

No question it is trivial and I highly doubt sanctions are at risk! However, it could easily be perceived as a slight to the NCAA. Just dumb.

Ok, this is starting to make sense now. As for the vacated win, I believe it's a vacated win for the gris but the Bobcats still have a loss. (I think that's how it works) So Bobcats were 7-3 in the 2010's while the gris would be 2-7. Is that right? This retroactively vacating wins is one of NCAA's doltish decisions.

You guys can’t seriously be this dense? It’s absolute fascinating at this point.

Let me break this down for you so you will hopefully understand (although I’m not sure comprehension is your strong suit). The picture he used in the tweet was a pic of the actual helmet the Griz players wore in the latest Cat-Griz game. On that helmet, they were able to successfully troll kitty nation with the overall Cat-Griz record up to that point (minus the 2011 vacated win). That record at that time was 72-41 and was part of the helmet.

After the beat down win in 2021, that record has obviously changed to 73-41. Hence the reason Bobby and other Griz coaches have once again successfully trolled kitty nation with an update to that helmet with the new record.

It’s not rocket science nor is it even close to a ncaa violation. The fact that iaafan got so triggered he reported something that is 100% factual to the NCAA is absolutely hilarious.

I REALLY thought I was missing something. Like coaches weren't allowed to tweet about records or something. Couldn't figure out what the issue was.

Then was told not to read this thread.... :-k

Seriously though, gris fans have been rather quiet on this board, now they seem to have taken a much bigger interest. Me thinks they protest too much for such a minor infraction. Why are they protesting so much?
So I’m not understanding what the infraction is. Please explain.

Still not seeing the issue. We are currently at 73 wins.
This is a list of all Griz wins excluding the 2011 victory. The total is 73.

1898-1898 3
1904 1
1909 2
1910-1914 6
1917 1
1920-1927 7
1930-1931 2
1933-1946 10
1948-1955 8
1960 1
1962 1
1969-1971 3
1978 1
1981-1982 2
1986-2001 16
2004 1
2006-2009 4
2013-2015 3
2021 1

So again, what is the infraction? Is he not allowed to use twitter at all?
Hmmm…. So the original 72 wins that was crossed out was a typo by the UM media staff?   That is even funnier!

And glad to see you are keeping track of the Brawl! Nice to see the Cats are 10-9 since the streak ended! And even better, the Cats were 7-3 in the decade of the 2010’s.
