Looking at the BOBCAT site and shows ESPN as the outlet so far?

MVFC has a contract with ESPN+ so will be available there. ESPN+ is the extra subscription package that you can purchase directly in the ESPN apps on phones/media devices to watch additional games and content.

I know ESPN+ used to have a 7-day free trial for new subscribers in the past, then it reverts to $4.99 a month. I'm planning on checking that out later on in the week and then canceling it.

Do a free trial of Hulu live, or YoutubeTV, or slingtv, then cancel after the game.

MSU site shows it is on ESPN+ and ESPN 3. Does anyone know if ESPN has a schedule for their ESPN 3 lineup as I want make sure it is in fact on ESPN 3. With SlingTV I get ESPN 3 but not ESPN+.

I actually find ESPN+ worth it at just $5/month because you can usually find an interesting FCS game or two each week on it.RobertCats wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:55 pmI know ESPN+ used to have a 7-day free trial for new subscribers in the past, then it reverts to $4.99 a month. Watched WIU vs UNA last night.
I think we will keep it at least through football season.

Re: TV for Western Illinois
I was just thinking that after I posted it. I spend more than $5 on a sh!tty cheeseburger each month and would enjoy watching out of market FCS games a lot more.CelticCat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 3:28 pmI actually find ESPN+ worth it at just $5/month because you can usually find an interesting FCS game or two each week on it.RobertCats wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:55 pmI know ESPN+ used to have a 7-day free trial for new subscribers in the past, then it reverts to $4.99 a month. It's worth the $5 a month, especially in football and basketball season. Plenty of games on and some cool exclusive content. Peyton's Places is a great show by Peyton Manning about the NFL.

I felt like I got my money's worth for the first month on Thursday of week 1 when I watched SEMO and WIU play. The entire rest of the month is pure upside on my $4.99. This is cheap.

So this may be a stupid question, but if you're Spectrum subscriber, you can get ESPN3 content with a Roku...right? But not ESPN+? Is that correct?

I think that’s correct. Showtime and HBO (probably others, too) do the exact same thing. An online product bundled with cable and also a stand alone product.

Yes, ESPN+ carries additonal content beyond what is on ESPN3 that you get access to with your cable or internet services. Now, some of the CFB games that are on ESPN+ are moved over and also shown on ESPN3 and some of the College Gameplan stations that cable/satellite/OTT providers show, but definitely not all and as someone above pointed out that does not appear to be the case with this game from the ESPN listings.

Re: TV for Western Illinois
ESPN+ offers a yearly subscription of $49.99, I think it is. So just over $4 per month. I used it to watch our women's basketball team playing out of conference games, and just kept it. It's been a good deal. And the picture quality is good, unlike PlutoTV live events. A large majority of the conferences are using ESPN3/ESPN+ now. I wrote to one of the media VPs for the Big Sky and politely asked why Pluto when 29 of 32 basketball conferences were on ESPN streaming? She didn't even bother to respond.
Anyway, I get good value out of ESPN+.

Do they have replays ? In case you have to miss the live-streams.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 12:57 amESPN+ offers a yearly subscription of $49.99, I think it is. So just over $4 per month.
