MBB vs NAU & SUU

Post by Helcat72 » Tue Feb 26, 2019 8:38 pm

There is a discrepancy in the advertised game times of these games. One says SUU Monday is at 2:00 and so Is NAU Saturday.

The other says NAU is at 2:00 and SUU at 7:00 Monday. I believe the latter, but we probably need a clarification.

The Bobcats need to take care of business in these last four games, but they might have gotten a little bit of help tonight in getting a first round bye in the tournament.

Sac State went into Cheney and knocked off EWU, and UNC stomped Weber State in Greeley. Unfortunately, Idaho couldn't quite get it done at home against Portland State (lost by 2) which would have been helpful. So the Bobcats are 1/2 game ahead of EWU, PSU, and SUU in 4th and 1/2 game behind Weber for third. With Weber's sweep of us and EWU and PSU's wins over the griz means we don't have the tie breakers over them.
EWU plays PSU and Weber yet this season so a lot of stuff can still happen. SUU has the griz and UNC along with MSU.

EWU's high scoring guard Davison has his foot in a boot and is wheeling around the floor with a cart. That doesn't look good. EWU really misses him.

Beat NAU!

Not sure I'm following you here Belgrade. Are you saying PSU currently has the tiebreaker over the Bobcats? We beat them and still play them, so as long as we take care of business at their place, we are ahead of them. I say winning 3 of the last 4 would get the Bobcats a top 4 finish.

Yes-if we lose at PSU the Vikings would have the tie-breaker over us I believe. PSU is really tough at home. That's our last game. Hopefully it's a moot point by then.

Gotcha ... I thought you were talking currently. If we win our next 3, the point will be moot. Let's hope for the best.

Hope a good crowd shows up at the Brick for these seniors....they've played well and gave us a lot fun basketball to watch. They deserve a great send-off!

Go Cats!!

My fault I guess. I tuned into the Men's game on pluto and apparently all shots became bricks at that point. Even break-away dunks are missed.

Yes. I lost sound with the pluto app. However, if I use a browser and go to pluto.tv it's actually more stable and sound is better than the app.

Don't know where you are, but the game is on SWX if you can get that. Lots better than Pluto.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

Kind of a slow start for the Cats, but catch fire toward the end of the half to lead by 7. If Hall and a couple others can hit their shots in the second half and the Cats continue to hold NAU (who didn't shoot all that well in the first half other than the one dude that couldn't miss a 3) they should be okay.

Nice win for the Cats. Frey ends up with 30, Hall with 18 I think. Hopefully the Cats get a couple more out the last 3.
