Do you think there needs to be more control of wolves that "wonder" outside of the park by each state?

Post by LongTimeCatFan » Thu Jul 22, 2004 10:08 pm

In the Billings Gazette, there is an article about a wolf pack that federal agents destroyed. Its about time they look at this realistically. Yea for Idaho!

Check out the article:

I wish we could return the wolf population to what it was 200 years ago but it would not make sense in today's world. I feel bad for the ranchers but the woves were here first and are an impressive animal. I guess the two (wolves and humans) don't mix well and probably never will.

Just for the sake of playing devil's advocate here I would argue that while the wolves were here first originally, it was just as harmful to the environment that we reintroduced them. I think anytime we interfere with nature, even if it's only to "fix" previous mistakes, we are walking a dangerous line and must be very careful.

I'm sure wolves wonder about a lot of things, as do I, whether I'm in Yellowstone or not.
