Bill Maher on the GOP

Post by SonomaCat » Wed Apr 29, 2009 11:12 am

Certainly doesn't speak to all members of the GOP, but I think he captures the strange messages coming out of the GOP talking heads/blogs in recent months:

Anything to come out of Maher's mouth is certainly a strange message.

Although I'm still a fan of Maher's, he seemed to have caught a case of BDS that warped him a bit the past few years. One of my favorite books is "When You Ride Alone, You Ride With Bin Laden". Very insightful piece of literature. He doesn't like to bring up too many of the themes in that book anymore though.

That article was so bad and inaccurate the person that wrote it should be fired.

It was racist, ignorant and wrong.

Gawd where do I start?

Nice slam on "Normal people" this coming from a city guy with blinders on. Has this jagoff ever been out of LA?

His comment on Bachman and her accusation of Hussein Obama and "reeducation camps" was ridiculous because he used "money is tight" as an argument when the guy he was referring to spends his ass off like 3 Bush's.

The guy that wrote this has to be a black guy and he is doing everything he can to call whites stupid and redneck.

Like I said, worst article I have ever read, maybe he can get a job at Slate?

I like Maher's show even though I disagree with a good 75% of what him and his guests usually have to say. The thing that gets a little annoying with him (and most talking heads from BOTH sides) is his belief that the things he believes are the exact thing "normal" people believe in and anyone from a different camp is just completely ignorant.
