Impressive results at Stanford

Looks like the Cats did quite well down at Stanford this weekend.

Heather Demorest set a new school record in the 3000m Steeplechase, leads the Big Sky, and sits 23rd in the nation.
Matt Tex (2013 Big Sky Champ) and Grant Grosvenor (2012 Big Sky Champ) and now sit 1 and 4 in the Big Sky 800m rankings.
Chistian Soratos now leads the Big Sky in the 1500m.

I know Coach Kennedy, Coach Eitel, and Coach Carrignan all "pre-score" the Big Sky Meet based on current standings. With these guys in the middle distance, some quality sprinters, and a handful of top-notch throwers & jumpers...I would think the Cats might have a shot at the Big Sky title. The women also look pretty strong.

The times in case you were curious:
Demorest: 10:22, that is almost two miles with hurdles and water pits
Tex & Grosvenor: both 1:50, two 55 second laps back to back. The 800 used to be a distance race.....now it is a controlled sprint.
Sorantos: 3:45 in the 1500....just shy of a mile. I bet he could run that last 100m near 15 sec....which puts him under the magic 4 minute mile mark.
