The Legend of Robert Ford

Post by cat-o-nine » Wed Mar 13, 2024 11:53 pm

We have just witnessed probably the most dominating performance by a single Bobcat in the Big Sky Tournament ever.
Wish we had him for a few more years, but wow! What a tournament he had! On to the Dance!

From a really good off the bench player, to a Bobcat legend!!

One of the best performances I have seen ever. All season long, and even better in the tournament.

Out of all the words I can think of to describe Ford, coward might be the last

I also don't recall as great of a team effort as we've seen in these past three games. Eddie Turner was great as was Olmstead and Lecholat, with big contributions by Walker, Patterson, Miller, & Goracke. But Ford just took these games over in the second half. He was one rebound short of a double-double.

And 5 steals to give him an even 100 on the season. As Dickie V would say, he's a stat sheet stuffer.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Some timely baskets by Turner for sure.
R Ford's game tonight was magical. You did SO much! for the Bobcats to storm back and then grab the Win and the Championship! An impressive performance. Ford's heart and desire to win really came through tonight with big play after big play.
Congrats Mr Ford and congrats to the entire Bobcat roster and coaches!

Just an old fashioned baller!! Congrats to Robert! Haven't see an all tourney team or mvp announced yet but he should be both! No quit in this Cat!

I saw on the big sky conference website that Ford was tournament MVP. Also found the all tournament team:

Robert Ford III, MSU (MVP)
Brian Goracke, MSU
Aanen Moody, UM
Brandon Whitney, UM
Miguel Tomalley, ISU
Akol Mawein, SAC

I borrowed this from another thread where MSU01 had posted it. It just seemed to belong in this one.
After reading this, you have to be an even bigger fan of RF.

Ford is a class act, period. Thank RF3 for sticking around and leading us back to the promised land. Maybe the best tournament performance I have ever seen from a Bobcat!

Any chance he has a medical redshirt or something weird in his last 4-5 years, and come back next year?…..
