A lot on the line tonight for the Cats....PSU has been hot and tough to be in their new arena. I'm hoping we get Frey back on track and Hall lights it up...add in a little D and we could pull this one out.

Obviously a huge game, if we lose we're sixth. Let's say we manage to win, and EWU beats Weber. That makes us 12-8, EWU 12-8, Weber 11-9. Who wins the tiebreaker between us and EWU in that situation? I'm guessing they do because they beat Montana once, right?

I hate to be negative, but until we win these kinds of games...we are destined for 6th. I would love, and will root for a win...but I have been around MSU basketball too long to see a winning trend in March!

Stayed up way too late figuring all this out the other night...

If MSU and EWU win, EWU is third, MSU 4th, Weber 5th. If MSU and Weber win, MSU still 4th, other two flip flop. That’s assuming Montana beats Sac. If UNC is the champ, MSU might actually get 5th because all three MSU, EWU, Weber split with UNC but Montana Swept both Cats. And Weber swept MSU.

If MSU loses, PSU gets a bye and the Cats play Idaho in the first round.

Thanks for the midnight oil efforts. Obviously a bye is preferable, but the path through the BSC tourney theoretically isn't bad from 6th this year. Should we be in that spot, i think we'd beat Idaho and face one of Weber or eastern in the quarters. If we're 4th, we face one of those 2 in the quarters with Montana looming in the semis rather than UNC in the other path. One extra game but not reason to despair IMO if that's the case.

I swear I have never seen a team that misses so many close, (what should be) easy baskets. They've already missed about 3 right at the rim in the first few minutes tonight.

These kids seem either tired or distracted. At any rate, it is not a good way to enter the tourney having potentially lost 2 in a row and a first round bye.

Uninspired is the kindest way to describe what's going on tonight.

Tyler just lets his guy shoot and score his 3's.

Stand off, let PSU drill 3 after 3. Can't seem to figure out how to break PSU's press. Miraculously only down 8.

And then, now we streak to be down only by 3. So much potential on this team.

Make that about 5 or 6 shots that we've missed now, right around the basket. I can't believe we're within 3. One announcer has referred to us as the Grizzlies and the other as the Wildcats.

Halftime and down by 1. Amazing how this team can go from being totally out of a game and can storm back into it. Imagine if they only could sustain that level of urgency from buzzer to buzzer. It has to be a mindset thing or something, but it's fascinating/frustrating to watch.

All of a sudden, we've got a little more to play for tonight. Weber lost to Eastern, so a win would give us the #3 seed, while a loss could still drop us all the way down to #6 I believe. WSU is really struggling. UNC lost to NAU, which clinches the #1 seed for UM I think, since according to Colter they hold the tie-breaker.

So, do you tell the boys tonight at halftime what the other teams are doing in the BSC? I'm not sure if that would help or hurt them.

Well, now they are playing basketball. Should be a fun finish. Let's go Cats!

Is there such a thing as defensive indifference in college basketball?

Offensive rebounds are absolutely killing us. Zone has been effective at times but we can't rebound out of it. Still, a great effort on the road tonight.

I'd love to see Neuman send a pass to a cutting Blevins for a dunk...just saying.

Actually a 6 seed I think bodes well for us by the way.
