Ugh...here we go again.
We play Colorado State tonight. The last Mountain West team we played beat us by 30 on our home court. Colorado State also has a new coach and like Utah State, is not picked very high in the MWC. So...anything less than a 30 point deficit will probably be hailed as great progress.

I need to see some type of progress.... any thing...... at all. If we go over 24 fouls we need to totally scrap what ever this concept of defense the coaches are trying to run. Then install a new system that either the players can run or that the coaches can teach!

11:55 left in first half. Cats 11 CSU 12. We went on a 10-0 run to take early 10-5 lead, defense has been outstanding. Contesting everything, hands in passing lanes and aggressive traps. Offense had 4 straight silly TO’s (illegal screen, bad pass, traveling, bad pass) to give them too many chances though to regain the lead.

18-16 Cats after a Kirby hook, Harry 3 and Hall drive. CSU’s last three buckets have come off offensive rebounds. 8 minutes left in the half.

32-34 CSU up at the half. If we honestly limit their 2nd chance points we are up 8, great defense and then they get a bunny after an offensive rebound. I don’t get it, I don’t think I’ve seen Hall hit an open 3 yet this year, but he hits two of them, off balance with a hand in his face. We had scoring runs with Blevins and Kirby on the floor and gave up the lead promptly as soon as they left the court.

A great game so far. 34 -32 I believe at the half. Both teams struggling to hit the three, but we are actually passing the ball around, feeding Kirby inside some, and he's been effective also on defense. Watching on a tablet, didn't have to get an app, just went to the link provided on msubobcats.com.

Tyler has also has a couple great drives that he finished with small jumpers, looked great.

No way will the MWC refs including Eric Curry, allow us to win this. Every breath on them is a foul.

I’ve never seen a team called for so many “moving” screens than we have in the last 2-3 years. I swear we get called for 4 a game.

Fell apart in the last 2 minutes and we lose 81-77. Played much better offensively. Defensively-we need a lot of work.

Not the result we would love, but a really good effort. We had twice as many turnovers, 15. That might be one of the stats of the game. I haven't seen Tyler shoot like that in a long time! And Laden did a great job. They shut Blevins down tonight. Also I saw rebounds were nearly even.
