This is one of those games that make you wonder!! The Lady CATS to go the line 6 times and unr gets 34 chances. We outshot them from the floor, both regs and threes... But the charity shots killed us.
The Pack have a girl on their roster from Plenty Coups...

Yeah the stats in that one are pretty rough. It's an ongoing theme between Big Sky and Mountain West teams-the free throws are usually ridiculously lopsided in the MWC's favor. Also, beings it was the 3rd game in 4 days with a travel day going from Montana to Hawaii mixed in it's not surprising that they are a little physically and mentally weary.RickRund wrote:This is one of those games that make you wonder!! Hard to see on the radio, but that's pretty lopsided. I'm thinking tired legs, too. Because of our schedule, we were the only team that did not arrive in Hawaii a day early. Did well to beat Utah State.RickRund wrote:This is one of those games that make you wonder!! The Lady CATS to go the line 6 times and unr gets 34 chances. Nevada had another player that played at least one year and graduated from Billings West. The bio of the player from Plenty Coups said she was recruited by Montana State, among others.

Yeah how weird is that. Nevada has also signed Kailee Oliverson from Twin Bridges. I don't fault a kid for going out of state. It's just weird that three of them ended up in Reno of all places.Bobcat4Ever wrote:Nevada had another player that played at least one year and graduated from Billings West. Not good news — I hoped we had a shot at Kailee. Thought that Peyton's success here might be a help. Kailee has a chance to develop into a real talent.BelgradeBobcat wrote:Yeah how weird is that. Dang it! An out of state school just beat MSU by 14 points with THREE Montana kids on their roster? How many of the kids were from the small schools in Montana and were probably offered an opportunity to walk on ?

Going forward most of our women's team is going to be from the Twin Cities area and our men's team will be from Arizona. These things are all about relationships. I don't much care where they are from as long as they are good players, students, and citizens, but it would be nice to have some contributors from Montana on both teams. It just doesn't seem to be working out that way right at the present.
