Re: New tournament site?
Boise would be worse than Reno. To me SLC would be ok, Vegas the best . Why can't they pick a site that has lots of flights coming in.

It can't be much worse than getting to Reno. Boise is at least a drivable distance from Bozeman in one day when the roads are good.mslacat wrote:No to Boise!!!! Will Billings be considered again?

Billings might not want the Big Sky after their success with the NAIA Women's tourney.wapiti wrote:It can't be much worse than getting to Reno. Agree with this - anywhere that's a reasonable one day drive to get to is fine with me. Someone on the Weber State forum says it will be Boise for 3 years starting in 2019. The arena there looks like a nice size and fans from the schools that actually travel well (sorry Sac State) can get there more easily.wapiti wrote:It can't be much worse than getting to Reno. If the Big Sky wants a "neutral" site that puts the most rear ends in seats Billings is the choice.

Not Boise...Nampa. Which is a whole different City from Boise, and a pretty big one too with over 90,000 people which is up from 50,000 in 2000. Quite a fast growing place. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nampa,_IdahoColter_Nuanez wrote:BREAKING: Big Sky moving basketball tournaments to Boise

Maybe-trying to break the bedroom town to Boise stigma they'll really embrace the tournament and make it their own thing...one can hope.
