A sign a a good program is that their assistant coaches are wanted commodities! I hate to see him go, but it is sign the program is moving in the right direction, and I have faith Coach Fish will replace him with some as good or better!

I have a hard time believing that Providence High came to Bozeman to recruit Lincoln....more likely he wanted to move to SoCal and applied for the job....not many high school coaches are recruited from outside the area they are in....but it is a good sign that your coach showed good enough in an interview to be hired...just trying to stay in reality here, no put down at all...

Parker Gabriel had an update on the assistant coach search search and it sounds like Fish is getting close to filling our assistant coaching position.

Reading between the lines it sounds like Fish is expecting to fill the spot with a younger possibly 1st time D-1 assistant. Last year when we had an opening he looked to fill it with a more experience D-1 assistant when he hired former U. of Portland assistant Eric Jackson. I think current Bobcats director of basketball operations Luke Fennelly has to be considered a favorite. Fish has a strong history of elevating from with-in, and this would be a perfect opportunity to elevate and develop a coach. I have also been made aware of couple (but asked not to divulge names) coaches who applied for for the job, who have Montana connections (former Montana HS or College players) who would like to move up to the D-1 level.
