These tournaments in Iceland and Portugal were preparation for FIBA U20 European Championships (division B), which is held in Oradea, Romania 14-23 July. Finland will be playing against Armenia, Belarus, Belgium and Poland in pool games. After that there will be 3 classification games. http://www.fiba.com/europe/u20b/2017 and will probably be online in FIBA You Tube channel.

Before that they have 2 practice games against Germany in Finland 7th and 8th of July. Don´t know yet if there is a online video of those games.http://www.basket.fi/english/national_t ... s/men-u20/

Nikkarinen was 2nd in efficiency, 5th in points, 1st in 2 points field goals percentage, 1st assists and 1st in steals overall in Portugal.

Finland beat Armenia easily 95-69. Armenia had bought their passport to two American players . One of those was Steven Enoch, a transfer from UConn to Louisville, but that did not help them. Nikkarinen had a solid game (20 min4 pts, 2 rebs, 4 asts and 1 steal. Finland was resting Nikkarinen and their other starting guard Maxhuni (Long Beach State) the whole 4th quarter for tomorrows important game vs. very strong Poland. Here is the link for the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRW7NMP ... ture=share It will be live and you can also see it after the game has ended.

In a game earlier today against Belarus Lassi Nikkarinen led Finland to a blow out win 113-68. Lassi had 13 points, 3 assists, 3 steals and shot 43% FG, 20% 3FG, 86% FT in 24 minutes. His 24 minutes led Finland. He struggled from the 3 point range but he played very well driving to the rim and drawing fouls (6-7 from the foul line).
