Some Overlooked Respect for Hannah Caudill
BelgradeBobcat said he thought Hannah Caudill should have been on the list of conference post-season awards. I could not agree more. With this post I am trying to give Hannah some respect from Bobcat Nation. Let the statistics show that she was overlooked.
Considering assists, 3-point accuracy and 3-pointers made, Hannah was the ONLY PLAYER in the conference to be in the top 4 in more than one category. In fact, Hannah was top 4 in all three measures.
The other three-point shooters did not accumulate a lot of assists. Hannah tied for 3rd in assists. The other point guards were not high-volume 3-point shooters. Hannah was 1st in 3-pointers made per game. The other high-volume shooters were not as accurate. Hannah was 4th in 3-point percentage.
Hannah did double-duty as a point guard and a shooting guard, better than anyone else. How could she have been overlooked?
Well done, Hannah.

Thanks for sharing. And way to go Hannah! I have to admit I was a bit concerned about guard play after Lindsay Stockton left last year but Hannah delivered this year. Now we get to look forward to Hannah and Oliana coming up behind her for a great guard rotation next year.

I really and truly believe if Hannah was 100% those last two games would have been more comfortable wins. Before she got sick she was playing at a very high level. But you could see she was really wrung out after a gutsy performance that really saved our bacon against Weber State.

Re: Some Overlooked Respect for Hannah Caudill
I agree that Hannah was stifled a bit with the illness down the stretch. As someone said she did indeed save our
bacon on several occasions, most notably when the made the NBA 3 against UM when it appeared we were hopelessly
down by 9 with such a short time to play. Even in the BSC championship game you could tell she was still not up to
par physically with all those missed 3s, yet she canned most of the critical FTs there at the end.
Of course so many of the players on this team made so many critical shots and plays at crunch time in numerous games.
The entire team gets a lot of credit as does the coaching staff. Fun to be in the Big Dance

That Weber game was an amazing bacon-saver. It was obvious she was sick, but she just came through time after time. As I wrote above, she was totally overlooked. No way we get to where we are without her. Hannah is First Team in my book.
