WBB BSC MVP

Post by blueandgoldblitz » Mon Feb 27, 2017 3:20 pm

I don't get to pay enough attention to college basketball. At least not as much attention as I would like to. I noticed that Payton Ferris was the Preseason BSC MVP. Does anyone know if it's looking good for her to actually win it? Who are the other contenders?

I really can't see anyone else being MVP. Peyton led the league in scoring at 17.9 per game. She is also 6th in rebounding and and 5th in field goal percentage. With the team being the number one seed again and Ferris clearly being the best player on that team-I'd guess she's got it.

When is that decided?

I don't know for sure when the MVP and postseason awards come out, but Jasmine Hommes was named Big Sky MVP last year on March 6th, so I would make the assumption that the awards should come out in the next couple days. I would bet Sunday.

Peyton it is. Riley Nordgaard was 2nd team. I thought Hannah Caudill should have been on there somewhere.

Congrats Peyton! Two straight regular season titles and two straight MVPs. Hard to overstate how fun it has been to watch the women's team these past two years, and the men appear to be getting there fast too!
