Some more details about the event next Tuesday featuring Neil Everett

MSU PRESS RELEASE

Gallatin Valley sports fans have the opportunity to interact with one of the creative and interesting voices on the national sports scene when ESPN SportsCenter anchor Neil Everett visits on June 30.

Everett addresses sports fans in the MSU Alumni-Foundation Building's Great Room beginning with a no-host social at 7 pm. The formal address for Bobcat Basketball's 6th Man Club Summer Tipoff begins at 7:30 pm.

One of ESPN SportsCenter's West Coast anchors, Everett is known for his humor and down-home sensibilities. Bobcat men's basketball coach Brian Fish said the on-air persona is exactly what Bobcat fans will see next Tuesday. "Neil is one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth people you'll run across in sports," said Fish, who indicated that the friendship began while coaching at Everett's alma mater, Oregon. "I know people will enjoy listening to Neil, and interacting with him."

Everett brings a unique universal perspective on sports to Bozeman. A SportsCenter anchor for the past 15 years, the Spokane product worked in college athletics as the sports information director at Hawai'i Pacific along with as a local sports anchor in Oregon and Hawaii.

Appetizers at the Summer Tipoff event are provided, along with a no-host bar. Admission is free for 6th Man Club members, $10 for Bobcat Club members, and $25 for the general public. The Great Room is on the Alumni-Foundation Building's second floor. Reserved parking is available for 6th Man members, with general parking available in the Alumni-Foundation and Fieldhouse lots.
