Who does that leave us with for next year? I'm not a huge basketball follower, but I like to keep track at least a little bit.

Colbert
Robison
Green
Price
...

Disappointed Frenchwood was cut. Thought he might turn into a good player. But the rest are understandable.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Cmon Hawk I just posted that a minute ago. Why do you gotta steal my Vim! :-({|=

Regardless, these moves were expected if you watched any games or paid attention this year.

Because I would be totally surprised if Stephen Holm was cut. He was about our only threat to drive and actually score last year. And he is also a lethal shooter.

On the roster:
Cobert
Robison
Holm
Greene
Price

Signed:
Matlock
Blake

LOI:
Hall
Worthy
Neumann
Everett

That leaves 2 more open spots.

Three players - Brown, Frenchwood and Fisher - have decided to continue their careers elsewhere.Read the Full Article on BobcatNation

Holm in my opinion will continue to be a MAJOR part of the program, Fish has totally changed Holm from a strictly 3 point shooter into an all-round player who is good on defense and now has the confidence to drive and go to the rim, something he would never think of under Huse's coaching. Believe me, this team by next year will surprise a hell of a lot of people, I can hardly wait! Just think of what a coaching change could do for the womens program!!Oh well,I can always dream , til then I'm keeping my wallet in my pocket when it comes to Binford ball, 10 years of season tickets watching her product ESPECIALLY with what she is being paid is more than enough for me (and judging for how many people are in the stands for a lot of other people as well). Come on Cruzada, give us a break, enough is enough!!

I just did, but I screwed it up and instead embedded Colter's post into this thread by mistake. I don't think that can be undone. Apologies, Colter. If you want to create a new thread to host your article, I promise I will leave it alone next time.

On the topic, while I feel bad for the players released, I'm pretty excited about what this means for the future of the program. Fish is cleaning house and starting mostly fresh with the guys that he thinks can help win games. This was probably a very necessary move. And that means there will be more recruits to announce!

I'm curious as to the futures of these young men. What now? Do they find another school to play at? Do they just stay here and finish their degree? Time will tell I suppose. From what I remember, the scholarships are offered on a yearly basis, so there is some acknowledgement that they could be cut, but I also feel most players expect to complete their 4 or 5 years at the university that recruited them. I'm also aware that our team had serious weaknesses, looking forward to seeing our new recruits compete, become BOBCATS!

Coach Fish is making some tough choices for the betterment of the team....Not an easy thing to do

Sorry to be unclear. That was in answer to the previous post asking who was still on the team
