up 40-28 at halftime. Is it fools gold? Mostly relying on 3's-when those stop falling we're in trouble.

Well Cats blow a 12 point lead, down by 6 with :56 left. That'll probably do it.

Seriously...you really don't believe we'll win a single BSC game all season? Not even against SUU?

Do you have a score from the women's game by any chance?

Just lost by three. Montana State sucks at basketball no matter the gender.

I'm willing to be patient with Fish and the MBB program, but I'm starting to lose my patience with Binford and the women's program. I believe she's been here 10 years now, with no BSC championships, and only one appearance in the title game, plus late season collapses the last few years that would even be embarrassing to Huse. The only way our WBB program looks halfway successful, is if you compare it to the men's program. We seemed to be on the cusp of becoming a perennial contender a few years ago, but the program has definitely regressed since then...very disappointing. It looks like we're destined to go 0-5 against UM again this year, in the the three major sports, which will make us 0-11 against them the past two years (the women lost to UM in the tourney last year too)...how humiliating!!

It will be fine. The rodeo team ought to bail the athletic department out... :?

What in the world is there to be optimistic about during basketball season?? The MBB team just lost, after blowing a huge lead, to a team that was picked to finish 10th (out of 12 teams) this season. The women's team just lost at home, to a team that was picked 9th. By all means, please try to put a positive spin on the outlook for the rest of the season.

We blew a freaking 19 point lead to Idaho freaking State! One of the worst offensive teams in the nation. It is incomprehensible how bad you have to be to blow a 19 point lead to Idaho State.

Indeed

Or get a volleyball coach hired.

Best thing to ever happen to the rodeo team was taking it away from the athletic department.

Oh man, all the fields apologists are going to get their angry fingers typing at you for that!

If Montana State doesn't beat Southern Utah in Bozeman on Jan. 22, I agree.

It's hard to understate how much blowing a 19-point lead can do to the psyche of a young, rebuilding team starving for a conference win like Montana State.

Umm, I've never seen a Fields apologist on here. If they are, they sure keep their mouths shut. It's painfully evident that he's nothing more than a bean counter who cares very little for how our athletic programs perform, as long as they maintain their APR and don't cause trouble outside the classroom. I am by no means am suggesting that winning/team performance should come before either of these (or before educating student athletes), but a winning season or conference tourney run (MBB or WBB specifically) every 4-6 years shouldn't be out of the question for a land-grant university like MSU. The recent success we've had in Football and Track & Field is a product of good TEAM administration and staff (with assists from Dr. Waded Cruzado), not the efforts of our Athletic Director.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
