Just wanted to say that was a great win for the players, coaches, fans and Bozeman last night. Considering what happened downtown, I think this was pretty uplifting for a lot of people. I don't want to overstate it, because it doesn't fix everything and some lost a great deal more than others. It was just a real nice feeling when that game ended.
I don't know of many wins by MSU that have had better timing.

It was certainly the most unexpected win I can remember for an MSU basketball team, and right up there with the football team's win over Colorado. I think this lifts a huge weight (no tourney wins since '99) off the basketball program, and perhaps the postseason wins will come more easily now. If nothing else, it should help our in-state recruiting. Getting swept 2-0 is bad enough, but 3-0 could have been really damaging.
