As surprised as I was last week that we didn't climb higher, I am just as surprised this week that we didn't drop lower.

Yeah. Look at Northern Iowa. But whatever this week. Let's see where they are after we've played eleven games.

Actually, we were ranked 22 prior to CU. Had we lost we would have probably slipped from the top 25. Had we then beat Chadron they would not have put us back in with a DII win, so this works out okay I guess.

In my opinion playing a nationally ranked Davis at this point couldn't have worked out any better for the Cats. This could really help how the Cats are viewed nationally and in the polls. If you beat a good Davis team it should show last weekend was a fluke. If you lose at home, then the first weekend was probably a fluke in the eyes of the voters and I think you'll already be on the outside looking in with an almost impossible hill to climb. Either way this weekend will really help or really hurt the Cats in the polls. At least your destiny is in your own hands and you don't have to rely on other teams to lose like in the crappy BCS system.
