Very well deserved!! Hard to believe it took that long for those two legends, as well as Don Read, to get inducted.

I know it's only year 3 for the HOF but these all seem like introductory class members.

Kollar is arguably the best player in BSC history. He was absolutely dominant (per Mike Kramer, who I believe matched up against him) his senior season and blew up the Senior Bowl (the premier and peerless college all-star game at the time) before blowing up the game and winning defensive MVP. The coaches (NFL) of his team recognized his talent immediately and he became a first round draft pick.

Bill Kollar was not the Defensive MVP. He was THE MVP of the game. I want to give Bill his full credit.

This is a problem with FCS athletics. Crappy conferences add a school that has 2,700 enrollment and a football facility that has 1,100 capacity.

More random than off season stuff but if you want to watch an entertaining melee in the stands, go to YouTube and look up ‘1986 Northern Arizona vs Montana State’ at about the 41:11 mark. Damn, things were different in the 80’s! Been a long time since I’ve seen a hair grab, face punch combo. One guy nearly got tossed over the railing onto the field. Haymakers were flying unfettered for some time.

Great news for the playoffs. The top 16 teams being seeded has been approved by the NCAA finance commitee. One more approval needed Thursday, but it should happen.

I like the change. Seed as many teams as possible but cap the field at 24. ESPN probably already sees diminishing returns from a bracket that large, no reason to go any bigger.

I will say it here first. mark this for later.
1. they will push more playoff games to ESPNNU (or whatever that network is), some on ESPN2, some on ESPN+, and some on ESPN forcing mad fans trying to watch the games for cheap paying for multiple subscriptions.
2. wackie results for seeding the top 16 will result in teams to drop in seating to be Regionalized. Round 2 will be Conference knock out week with BSC teams mysteriously ranked 6th in the polls ranked 13th seed to allow conference knock outs.
3. griz will face 2 rounds - a non scholarship school and a team that was 0-4 against teams with winning records.
4. Cats will face SDSU and NDSU before frisco. and win both. cats have 3 home games.
5. cats go ahead in frisco with a field goal from 48 yards and don't slow down. national champs while griz lose a second round game.
