I feel like MSU could have a roster that would go 17-0 in the NFL and for at least one game the Cardiac Cats would be the team that shows up.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 3:29 pmI like your confidence but I still think there is always a sleeper in big sky so think we have at least 3 close games.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 12:50 pmI have MSU going 12-0/11-1, 1 or 2 seed and I don’t think the Bobcats will see a stiff challenge.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 12:20 pmHmmm, I certainly hope that's the case but I'm put money down we'll have at least on nail biter... especially in the playoffs.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 8:53 amUnlike 2023. Not confidence. Just my objective take. I think MSU has the best team on n the FCS and it has a favorable schedule.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 3:29 pmI like your confidence but I still think there is always a sleeper in big sky so think we have at least 3 close games.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 12:50 pmI have MSU going 12-0/11-1, 1 or 2 seed and I don’t think the Bobcats will see a stiff challenge.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 12:20 pmHmmm, I certainly hope that's the case but I'm put money down we'll have at least on nail biter... especially in the playoffs.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 8:53 amUnlike 2023. I completely agree with you on this, and that's been my take all along as we look at the FCS landscape in 2024. We only disagree in that I think we'll have a close game or two because I don't think in the history of college football..... even the best teams\seasons of all time had games throughout the season that were fairly close. I'm not going to look it up but maybe someone wants to!TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 6:39 pmNot confidence. Just my objective take. SDSU last year is one. It’s good to have a good kicker.catatac wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 12:11 pmI completely agree with you on this, and that's been my take all along as we look at the FCS landscape in 2024. Re: Wayyyyyy too early 2024 predictions
100% agree on this, we can't just assume we will be the best or top 2 team in the Big Sky, in particular ISU interests me as they played close with a few teams, they improve on the Line and on Defense they may surprise some people.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 9:06 amI think its a bit presumptuous to assume ONLY MSU and um can win the BSC next season. Sac St did show some life at the end of the season. Next year they have to come to Bozeman but avoid the gris and get Davis at home. The other road games are Cal Poly, Idaho St and NAU and they have a couple winnable MWC games in the nonconference.
Weber St finally improved when they made the switch at QB last year but the losses on Defense and the O-line will be tough to replace. Idaho will be a huge ??? In my mind though the most interesting team outside of the Treasure St is ISU. If they are able to get better in the trenches they will be a real blister to some teams next season.
Also those who think our season is over if we don't beat New Mexico need to calm down, 1st game of the year is where mistakes happen and teams more often then not find their feet. I'd rather lose to UNM Week 1 if it meant we improved and peaked for the Playoffs.

Re: Wayyyyyy too early 2024 predictions
Maybe I'm lost in terms of what the point being made here is. You mentioned above that the Cats are going to clearly be the best team in the FCS in 2024, and I agree with that. You also said the Cats won't see a stiff challenge, which is the part I disagree with. So then I mentioned that even the best seasons of all time where teams go undefeated... usually have a close game or two along the way. As for SDSU, not sure if you could say they didn't face a stiff challenge. The Cats damn near beat them and ended up being a four point game. I think they won one other game by 7 points.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 5:05 pmSDSU last year is one. I predict that my wife and I will be at the New Mexico game then spend a week wandering through Santa Fe, Durango CO, the Grand Canyon north rim, and then to St George, where I will watch the 'Cats whoop Utah Tech. Will fly home with my team 2-0 ready for the Gold Rush game.

for me, the New Mexico game is the closest game for me since 2015. 25 miles. Lobos will start next fall with a new head coach so hoping we drop em. i'm going on vacation for a week to wander to St George for us going 2-0.84CatGrad wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 11:33 amI predict that my wife and I will be at the New Mexico game then spend a week wandering through Santa Fe, Durango CO, the Grand Canyon north rim, and then to St George, where I will watch the 'Cats whoop Utah Tech.
