Offense

Great defense. Our "O" coordinator couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. WTF?

One bad half and some people go all Chicken Little.

Remember the offense last year?

Sounds like parents at a jr. high game I was at today. Troy banged up, IFANSE OUT. Young QB and tough travel. Just win baby.

The sky isn’t falling but there are issues with our pass game no doubt.

The offense was not impressive either half in my opinion. Not sure MVC refs are all that great either. Hard to tell because the ESPN+ replay was as good as our O.. 🙄

It is not chicken little. It is being realistic that CB may not be ready for prime time yet. His status needs a re-evaluation.

Our offense had to operate a whole lot differently than normal today. With no Ifanse and a banged up TA it had to be more traditional than normal. CB isn't ready for that obviously but people need to take a breath. Our diamond formation without Ifanse isn't as scary. Our run game in general isn't as scary. Jones had a hell of a game but there are a lot of runs Ifanse would get an additional push and gain more yards. Jones just isn't that kind of back. Casey will be fine.

Also, WIU's strength as a team is stopping the run.

People forget that how teams matchup is actually a thing that matters.

I just would like to see consistent QB play and a functional offense. We didn’t convert 1 third down in the second half. 50/50 balls are just that but we need to complete the short and medium yardage passes to compliment run game and move the chains.

Being critical of the QB play just means your not informed.

When you don’t convert one third down in a half, there is a problem with the QB. They design plays to make it easy for him and he couldn’t do it. Some people look like world beaters in practice, but when they get in games it doesn’t translate.

Last week Miller is a genius and now??

Football is like life. Sometimes things don’t go according to plan but we persevered anyway.

Proud of this team.

Hey, at this point I'm willing to say "a win-is-a-win". We struggled mightedly on offense and kick returns. But, we won on the road.
BUT, Western Illinois sucked! So, we cannot get away with saying things like..."those guys are really tough on the run" or "those guys are tough at home". And even then, they did everything they could to help us win. The good part is...we obliged.
There is a lot of work to be done.
Hail to the defense! Hope this doesn't end up being the reverse of Ash's last year...where the offense hated the defense.

Good teams win the ugly games. We passed that test today! Go Cats!!

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
