MSU 30
WIU 12
WIU 12
I'd say that's a fair assessment. Especially with our history of botched travel. I personally think our D line will shred their Oline like we did to SEMO, maybe even worse. Their QB is going to be running for his life.Grizaddict wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 10:14 amThis is a much different team than last year. They lost 23 seniors and literally every single skilled position stud they had last year. UNA dominated this team and we saw what the Griz did to UNA once they made adjustments. Cats should win this one very easily, by like 3 scores if not more. The only difficult part of this game is getting to Macomb.
https://www.mcdonoughvoice.com/sports/2 ... at-numbersWestern has dealt with plenty of injury issues, especially at the running back spot.
Max Norris and Vic Johnson have yet to play while Deontez Thompson missed last week’s game at Colorado State.
Kendon Walker, who went down in the CSU game late with an injury, is the team’s leading rusher, carrying the ball 19 times for 103 yards (51.5 yards per game) this season.
And Choate said he's not very mobileluckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 10:36 amI'd say that's a fair assessment. Especially with our history of botched travel. God it feels good to have a defensive team again.
Its awesome when you come on here and post your crap and you're always wrong. I hope you're ready for an extended streak cause this year will be 4 in a row. That should send you back to your hole for another year.
This team is a different animal. They'll show as much as every weekend passes.technoCat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 3:24 pmThis game looks like a huge trap game. WIU is on the ropes. We're riding high. Its a crappy trip. We "should" dominate on the lines. I hope with our new culture our guys are taking it as serious as SEMO. We don't want to be the one's drug into deep water...
Maybe I'm just too used to disappointment after a big game given our last 20 years.
This is what I'm thinking and hoping. I can tell you I'll be on pins and needles with this one and hopefully we can put them away. On paper, it looks like our lines should win the battle of the trenches on both sides which should lead to a lopsided victory in the 4th. However, we all know what can happen. I often wonder what Choate, and other head coaches REALLY think when they're done watching film and preparing for the game. Obviously it's all coach speak and opponent respect all week, but I wonder if in his head there are times when he's thinking, "We're gonna kill these guys."ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 3:26 pmThis team is a different animal. I'm with you and 2506 , after watching the Colorado Game , they still have some play makers. If we play like thetechnoCat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 3:24 pmThis game looks like a huge trap game. WIU has a lot of transfers this year, so if they're going to get good you'll see it on a weekly basis as they build chemistry and find their groove. Sounds like they made a jump from week 1 to week 2, so they could be a team on the move.Buckaroo Bonzi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:21 pmI'm with you and 2506 , after watching the Colorado Game , they still have some play makers. 2nd and 4th quarters of Semo, it will be a ballgame. If we play like the 1st and 3rd of Semo, it won't be a problem.
I'm sure maintaining Mental Focus will be a big part of preparation this week. When this team puts together 4 good
quarters in a game , they will be dangerous for anyone in the FCS.
