K/P returners

Post by iaafan » Wed Aug 28, 2019 1:36 pm

Very good. Very, very good. MSU will give teams fits this year.

Jones has been one of the best KO returners in the league for years. If Patterson beat out Kassis, then punt returners will be electric.

I am with you here! These guys have the potential to be huge in the return game. With a brand new, freshman quarterback at the helm, it would be nice to give him a short field after some long returns. Or better yet, spot him a 7-0 lead before the offense even touches the ball!! (I have a feeling the Defense is going to help out in this regard too   )

Maybe we'll actually return some punts next year instead of fair catching everything.

I didn't realize MSU was second in KO returns and third in punt returns last year. I like Jones returning kickoffs. He always seems to be on the verge of housing one.

MSU - 15 team National Champions (most recent 2021); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

We returned about 10 punts for a little over 100 yards. Good average, but I'd really like to see more returns.

Definitely. Maybe Patterson will be more of daredevil.

Glad to see Patterson back and in a key role. Still believe he can be a breakout type of player, excited to see him play this year.
