Cat griz 2018 question.

Post by St George » Wed Jul 31, 2019 2:48 pm

Last year in the Cat griz game just before half the Cats got to the 3 yard line and the griz call time out. As play resumes a griz player is running off the field and the refs threw flags for too many on the field, but picked them up and say they had not given them time to substitute. How do they not have time when they called time out? Was this the correct call or home cooking?

I didn’t think it was legal to call timeouts.

Only home teams can call timeouts in the last minute at Washington Fizz

I don’t know. Good question.

I’ve been meaning to say that UM’s Reid Miller was vastly underrated last year. He was the best player on the field for UM in the Cat-Griz game last year. Led team in solo tackles and scored two-point conversion.

I didn't think we were allowed to appreciate any Griz players. If this "rule" has been dropped, please let us know :-^

Never heard of that rule. You’ve been hanging out with GrizAddict too much.

It has been awhile since I have watched it, but it was just on Pluto again. I love that even the Roots announcer says, “I love that strategy”, when Choate calls the timeout. It is crazy how even watching it 8 months later, it is just as exciting as when it happened. Sure hope we can keep this streak going.
