Re: Leon Costello Interview
I can’t believe they would build a facility in that location and not have some areas to watch the game. But if I heard right Leon didn’t mention anything. Anybody hear if there is going to be a game viewing area in the facility?

Re: Leon Costello Interview
If you are talking about Phase one, with the weight rooms and offices, then no there won't be an area to watch the games. Once the Stadium is bowled in, it will block that entire building.Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 8:31 amI can’t believe they would build a facility in that location and not have some areas to watch the game. Re: Leon Costello Interview
In the first phase aren't all of the offices and meeting rooms overlooking the field? I thought once it was bowled in there would be some viewing options over there but none that would completely block the view of the field from these offices. Unless I am completely misremembering!SACCAT wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:26 amIf you are talking about Phase one, with the weight rooms and offices, then no there won't be an area to watch the games. from this drawing, looks like offices would be behind the endzone and skyboxes

Yes thank you! It looks to be as tall as the west side. It should be a great view from there on game day and even when there is not a game.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 10:11 amPerfect thanks. That's what I remembered. Going to be awesome!

They won’t complain until the construction starts so the view and noise shield can be discussed together

There's no seating or official viewing spots included, as far as I know.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Re: Leon Costello Interview
Your right after reading it closer it says, "set the stage for future renovations to the seating bowl", which means it will be 20 years before we add more capacity to the stadium. I guess we are still improving and growing., go Cats.

Nah, not 20 years. I think it will be a decade or less.

Re: Leon Costello Interview
For some perspective, look back 10-ish yrs and think about the progress that's been made. Turf installed for first time (and replaced once), south endzone done with scoreboards, Bobcat Way and the south fieldhouse lots are paved/curbed, tidy up of the main entrance area of the stadium (old sign came down and the new donor wall put up), stadium club remodeled, and stadium lights installed with the first night game at Bobcat Stadium. East bleachers set to be rehabbed and likely a few months from an almost $20 million complex addition breaking ground.
That's barely more than the past decade folks.
I'd say a lot has been happening with Bobcat football. It'll happen not tomorrow, but not 20 yrs either if the pace of improvement continues.
