Choate likes quarterbacks and finds many of them can pick up other positions easily. Knight looks like he’s spent time working on his game. Probably quite capable of playing linebacker or safety. Reminds me of Eureka’s Garrett Graves, who was also a state champion wrestler/quarterback.

Graves is a fantastic athlete who could start at multiple positions. A mini-Troy Andersen if you would.

Poor man's TA maybe. I think the point is, he's a similar type of athlete, while not nearly as good. Graves should be a really good player for them though, I wish he was playing for the good guys.

That’s my fault. I compared Knight to Graves, who others compare to Andersen. I don’t think it’s fair to compare either to Andersen. He’s just on another level.

Knight and Graves are the same size and excelled at the same sports (both quarterbacks in football; both 182 in wrestling). Graves won more championships, but Knight played at a bigger school. I guess some don’t like the comparison, but it’s an easy one to make. Graves being highly touted in Montana and Knight being a relative unknown probably plays into that.

Choate has been really good at finding talent all over the place. Great recruiter and obviously trains his staff well in this area.
