Good baseball player, too. Colville (17-2) won its district and won the opener of its tournament yesterday 18-2 in five innings. Knight pitched three innings had two hits and scored four runs.

That's great and all but imagine how much better he'd be if Coach Choate didn't know his dad?
What a year for John Knight! Congrats, young man.

From looking at pictures of him, it's my belief we were recruiting his athleticism as a whole not necessarily QB. The guy's physique to me just says athlete.

As does his resume (rez-U-may). How many athletes excel at a combination of football-wrestling-baseball? I can’t think of many wrestling-baseball stars. Football-wrestling? Yes. Football-baseball? Yes. Wrestling-baseball?!?! Nope. If it happens, it’s usually the catcher. Kelly Horne from Helena is one.

He is the entire package. As far as what we would want as a recruit.catatac wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 11:02 pmI'm probably being dense here but what does this mean?TomCat88 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 8:02 pmAs does his resume (rez-U-may). Trivia mostly. It might not mean anything. Sports geeks like myself just notice rare occurrences and try to dig into them to see if there’s other instances. Thought it might spark some conversation.bob12 wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 2:37 amHe is the entire package. There’s Colin Bergh who is a catcher for Villanova. He wrestled in high school in Delaware and was ranked #4 in the state. He played football. Doesn’t appear to be as good at all three as Knight.
Ax Henningson from Butte wrestled and played baseball for Dickinson St.

Similar skills to Dave Dickenson other than Dave played basketball and John wrestled. This athletic type of guy can obviously be very good at QB.

Ahhhhh, got it, thanks. At first I was thinking... why would you even need to point that out? But then I remembered there are Griz fans that read this site, so gotta dumb it down.

Actually Montana's enrollment classifications were revised in 2016. Now look like this:iaafan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 9:14 pmColville’s enrollment is 560. It’d be A in Montana.
AA 779+
A 307-778
B 108-306
C 1-107
Washington State breaks down like this:
4A 1252+
3A 991-1251
2A 472-990
1A 225-471
Lower Classes
560 Colville is 2A Washington, A Montana.
Some Montana schools falling into WA class 2A are:
Polson 477
Miles City 556
Belgrade 826
Havre 583
Hamilton 505
Laurel 661
Livingston 500
Miles City 556
Whitefish 480
I've seen some pretty good football players coming out of most of the above schools who have done very well at FCS.
